Given that the whole case hinges on Zimmerman's cedibility given that he is the sole survivor of the shooting, he is "damaged goods" and has nobody to blame but himself.

What eyewitness testimony? What about Trayvon's girlfriend who was on the phone with him?

Eyewitnesses say they thought it was Trayvon calling/crying for help. Why was Trayvon face down, according to witnesses, after Zimmerman shot him?

Zimmerman does not have to prove he has any credibility.
He is the defendant. The Judge charges the jury that he has to prove nothing, is presumed innocent and the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove every element of their case 100% beyond a reasonable doubt.

The jury down there will most likely be as diverse a jury as there ever could be.
In Georgia the defense used to get 2 strikes in voir dire for every strike the prosecution got.
I will check and see what Florida law is on voir dire strikes.
The 2 for 1 standard has it's roots in common law as the defendant is presumed innocent.
