Instead of bettering one-self to be worthy of higher wages, what we did is legislate incompetence. Pay them $15 an hour for work a blind toddler can do better and quicker than what is out there. Do you think that there will be high inflation and higher unemployment? Great, then we can pay them unemployment.

We have uncounted numbers of laws on the books that apply only to a subset of people and NOT to everyone, which demolishes your entire premise. 1. I pay a different amount in taxes than my neighbor does. Is that unequal protection under the law?
2. I can't get food stamps. Is that unequal protection under the law?
3. I can't get scholarships created for people who have different skin coloring than I do. Is that unequal protection under the law?

No, none of these are unequal protection under the law because the laws were written to treat people differently based on criteria, JUST LIKE UC LAWS ARE. You ignore these and focus entirely on the one part of the law that you wish would pay you to never work.
