I picked this one up for $200.00 a week or so ago mostly for it's parts but decided to "rescue" it instead.....I'm into it for around $400.00 now as it needed a new lever and some odd pins and screws....The bore is still good.

The .25-20 was the varmint cartridge of it's day and was popular with farmers and such but it's pretty anemic by today's standards.

Hey JGalt....A friend brought the 03 stock by today, it's an old Bishop.....At least it looks slightly less retarded now. ;)

I have several '92's. A damned fine action. Very smooth. I have no use for the .25-20 though! Out here it is pretty near useless. The targets are either too far away, or too big for it to be used.

I have a few too.

Two in .32-20 (SRC and rifle) and a SRC in .44-40.

It's funny, I let it be known I was rescuing one and had friends coming out of the woodwork with .25-20 ammo!

As stated it's just a pest gun.
