20 states sue the fed gov because ACA is now unconstitutional

Twenty U.S. states sue federal government seeking end to Obamacare
A coalition of 20 U.S. states sued the federal government on Monday over Obamacare, claiming the law was no longer constitutional after the repeal last year of its requirement that people have health insurance or pay a fine.

Led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel, the lawsuit said that without the individual mandate, which was eliminated as part of the Republican tax law signed by President Donald Trump in December, Obamacare was unlawful.

"The U.S. Supreme Court already admitted that an individual mandate without a tax penalty is unconstitutional," Paxton said in a statement. "With no remaining legitimate basis for the law, it is time that Americans are finally free from the stranglehold of Obamacare, once and for all," he said.

Awesome. GFY you damn fascists

Ah, the stranglehold. Yes, what they need to be is fucked, so fucked that they don't have insurance. Why do they need insurance? They're not rich, no one gives a fuck if they die.

Welcome to America. Christian country. What would Jesus do? He'd tell you to get a better job and fuck off asking him for healthcare in the meantime, and then kick you in the balls.

Dunno. I got wood.

Allah frowns really fiercely on that shit

Nice then we don't have to worry about porn or abortion

Yes, its a large part of our depravity. Dont worry, it will continue to get worse and yes, we will have to answer for both.
Maybe you will. I'm good

We all will.
Nah just you. I'm in the clear with my God

Ah, deflecting I see.

What does abortion have to do with the topic of healthcare exactly? What does pornography have to do with the topic of healthcare exactly?

Stick to the topic.

OK. Jesus would have never gotten involved with the corrupt governments.

And again, there's a fucking topic here, stick to it.

You asked what Jesus would do and I answered. I just stuck to your topic.

Are you fucking serious?

Your logic is that if I use the word "Jesus" you can then go off and talk about anything that has anything to do with Jesus because I mentioned this word?

What grade you in at school?

Asking what Jesus would do was deflecting. You're the one who started deflecting...lol....and every thread on this board is at some point deflected. Getting back to healthcare, yes, it is nice that the penalty is gone. Now, this failed law can die a quick death.

Ah, the stranglehold. Yes, what they need to be is fucked, so fucked that they don't have insurance. Why do they need insurance?

We don't, actually, at least not what we refer to insurance. What we all have are health care plans and they are the biggest factor in the constant increase in health care costs. We need less coverage, not more. Insurance should be only for actual emergencies, not every sniffle and sneeze. The only way you are going to bring down the cost of health care without sacrificing the quality is to pay more out of pocket and reintroduce the free market into the health care sector because right now it's nonexistent.

I can pay for my appointments out of pocket, (only) necessary labwork, and several outpatient procedures. Cash price for a lot of surgeries are cheaper than you think.

It makes sense to insure against that which will cause a financial crisis.

No, it wasn't deflecting at all. It was using the English language to ask a question. I asked a question in regards to HEALTHCARE. I asked what Jesus would do in such regards, basically trying to make you look at it from another point of view.

You then took "What would Jesus do" and then related it to topics that have NOTHING TO DO WITH HEALTHCARE.

The thread is about HEALTHCARE, it's not that hard to see it is? It's not that hard to stick to talking about healthcare and not go moaning that I mentioned Jesus in the context of HEALTHCARE but then using it as an excuse to talk about completely random shit.

Seriously.

He has also has already said work six days and rest on the seventh

Which mythical god are you referring to? There are thousands of them. I suspect you mean the one that knocked up his own mother and became his own father.

Dear frigidweirdo
And anti-christians on the left reject Christian healing prayer
that cures CAUSES of disease for FREE to make sustainable health care affordable and accessible to all,
then yell at govt to pay for medical procedures and drugs that only treat the SYMPTOMS.

And wonder why we can't afford medical care.

Sadly, Christian healing prayer not only cures the cause of physical diseases,
such as cancer (better than marijuana that only alleviates certain symptoms)
and diabetes (that liberals blame on sugars they lobby to regulate)
but also mental and criminal disorders. So these methods cure both the cause
AND the symptoms of abuse, addictions and crime,
including mass shootings that liberals want to blame on guns.

In short, frigidweirdo, liberals yell at govt about gun violence and health care.

But the left have been lobbying to REJECT and CENSOR the very
solutions because of discrimination and demonization against CHRISTIAN beliefs and practices.

How can you have it both ways frigidweirdo
If you want health care to be free, then let's research and develop
these methods of spiritual healing that have reduced the cost and incidents of disease and crime.

You can't reject free solutions
then complain the problems are costing too much!

That's right! That's why Christians have been advocating to share the knowledge
of spiritual health and healing. It saves lives, and also money.

If you reject the cure, of course you get stuck with the ills.
And the bills!

Wow, just wow. What have you been smoking here.

Religion cures cancer better than marijuana.

I really can't believe that people in the 21st century are saying such fucking bullshit.

Dear frigidweirdo
No, I didn't say religion, I said spiritual healing.
The Templeton Fdn funded a medical study on the methods used by Dr. Francis MacNutt
and his healing team to diagnose the internal BLOCKS to natural healing in patients with RA.
Once these BLOCKS were removed, most patients experienced either partial or in some cases
full healing of their RA. Some were not affected either way. And there were ZERO negative side effects.
Only neutral or positive.

This was conducted, documented and published as a formal medical research study.

This is NOT about religion. It's actually proveable by medical science.
And it works independent of someone's religious background, affiliation or beliefs.

As a matter of personal experience, I have recommended friends (both agnostic, one Atheist and both anti-Christian) with previous drug/alcohol and self-destructive addictions to go through spiritual healing. And it still worked, although they both reject Christian religion. That is NOT required. What is used for this to work is the person agrees to receive help and prayer support to FORGIVE the past issues that were BLOCKING natural healing. So again, once those mental and spiritual obstructions in the mind are removed, the mind connects with the body and allows healing energy to flow naturally as the mind and body are designed to work together. The point is to REMOVE the blockage and restore the NATURAL healing process.

So that's how spiritual healing works. And it works WITH science, WITH medicine, WITH all other remedies and therapies that help the mind and body to recover.

The only thing I understand does not work with Christian spiritual healing is DARK energy or forces as invoked in occult, black magic, witchcraft, sorcery, voodoo, spells, curses, satanic or demonic influences, cults, etc.

This clashes with positive Christian energy and can cause backlash, disruption, and chaotic eruptions in people and relationships. The problem is similar to starting antibiotics, but not finishing them which leaves the body weak and vulnerable, and/or mixing with other incompatible substances that can cause toxic reactions.

So a person's religious affiliation doesn't have to change to receive and benefit from spiritual healing that works on strengthen the natural connection between mind and body to remove any unhealthy blockages, obstructions, addictions, or abusive disorders.

The only dangers are mixing with witchcraft/occult/black magic dark energy
or not finishing the whole process so that the person is left open to further attacks by
negative invasive influences that try to throw off the healing process. The reason for this resistance
is that the demonic forces are like parasites that live off the energy, the fear or distress of the host.
So these forces like viruses want to survive and will fight off the process of healing the person
so they can continue to feed off the host. The negative energies want the person to stay addicted and sick,
similar to how abusers want to keep their victims from getting help. That's how addictive disorders work.

So the person and their family seeking help to break free from this cycle and condition of destruction
have to keep working through the therapy until the person is completely free and clear.
Similar to taking antibiotics. The virus has to be completely killed and removed or it will come back stronger
and fight to take over the host.

The spiritual process of deliverance and exorcism works much the same way.

The other doctors who have written books on this process include Dr. Phillip Goldfedder who expanded his practice to focus on spiritual healing as a better cure than neurosurgery; and Dr. Scott Peck who wrote Glimpses of the Devil after he witnessed the before and after conditions of two schizophrenic patients he applied these methods to treating. After he observed how it worked to save their lives and return their minds back to normal condition, he wrote about these experiences and process he witnessed, and advocated for further formal medical research to develop these therapy methods to help save more people from destructive and deadly illnesses that medicine alone could not cure. The cause and cure both require spiritual process to identity and resolve. So that is the key to early diagnosis intervention and cure in cases of severe mental and even criminal illness, where medications only suppress the symptoms. Spiritual healing locates the cause and applies the cure until it works.

This isn't about religion but about natural science of mind and body and how our energy works.

It is not unconstitutional. Since there is no requirement to buy insurance, it is constitutional. That is the reason states sued originally.

??!!!
It was unconstitutional WITH the tax penalty!

What does this mean, it was unconstitutional either way?
With or without the penalty?

I guess that's like saying state marriage laws are unconstitutional
if they require same sex only. And unconstitutional if they require
states to recognize and endorse same sex marriages.
Because, guess what, marriage laws through the state
are already unconstitutional (unless people consent to that being law).

Laws either prohibiting or establishing Christian prayer would be unconstitutional.
Why? Because they involve a BELIEF.

Same with right to health care which is a political BELIEF.
So either way, if the govt is abused to establish a belief and penalize
people for their beliefs, that law is going to be unconstitutional.

The ACA mandates violated equal rights of people of Constitutional beliefs
and discriminated in favor of those who believes in either health care as
a right or believed that federal govt had the right to establish such a law
without first passing a Constitutional Amendment specifying this new authority.

It either violated the Constitution DIRECTLY by bypassing legislative process,
or it violated Constitutional BELIEFS of citizens, or BOTH.

So that's why it was unconstitutional on one or both counts.
And any other argument made about it falls under unconstitutionality.

As in Logic: once you make a false statement, anything you append to that
false statement or premise becomes false. Because there was already
a conflict or flaw in the original statement. Big fat duh!!!

I agree that the law was never constitutional. But the Supreme Court said it as because it’s a tax. Well the tax portion has been removed so the rest of it in theory should be shot down

That's their argument.

That's how Roberts cast the deciding vote. It was unconstitutional as
a fine but would be constitutional as a tax.

The Obama lawyers agreed with that, and agreed that it was a tax.

It was widely accepted that Roberts was punting back to Congress.
You created this, you fix it. Congress has. The Mandate, which everyone
agreed on was the only thing that could make it work has been repealed.

Obamacare must end.

It will run its course thru the lower courts and when it gets to SCOTUS,
Roberts will vote the opposite way because Congress acted.

The Congress did not remove all of it. If it gets to the Supreme Court, they will punt it back to Congress. Republicans couldn't get rid of the entire law through Congress so they are trying to get the Supreme Court to do it.
