We're on track for another very low year!

I don't expect it to beat the 2012 record low, since the 2013 recovery was significant. But it will definitely beat 2013.

Climate is cyclical. Always has been. What happened when the ice age came? People moved south. What happened when the ice retreated? People moved north. People adapt to the conditions.

I don't see much difference in % between 2012 and 2014. In fact 2014 has less sea ice.....

I see a new normal of patterns of blocking highs that stop warm air from hitting the high arctic. That is, 80 degrees north plus. Warmer air can reach Greenland, but not the north pole. If it's cool and cloudy at the north pole all the time, that limits what the melt can be at the core.

Warmer oceans = more evaporation = more convergence = more low pressure. In this way the arctic ocean could be a "slight" negative feed back.

More clouds = less solar input to the surface of the oceans. See how this could slightly cause a cooling? More storms! Cold air is so dense it naturally forms a high pressure near the poles.

I expect that the mid to mid-high lats will start warming faster, whereas the past 15 years the high lates of 70-80 north was the foci.
