I was talking with my son in law when he was making fun of people who didn't know what a dial telephone was. I asked him if he knew what a party line was, he didn't. My one grandmother had a "crank" type phone that you had to crank to get the operator then they got a party line. I can still remember my other grandmother having an ice box. Wow have we come a long way. The poor today were the rich of 40 years ago, in my opinion.
