50% Of Americans Are Parasites AND They VOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So at which point does the residents of a state directly electing their Senators throw you into a tizzy?

The Amendment was ratified by the requisite number of states and is now the law of the land. You, as a citizen are welcome to change it back....good luck
Tizzy??

The fact is that original intent of legitimate de jour tripartite governance was usurped in favor of mob rule.....And, like with the 16th Amendment, there's certainly evidence that the ratification process was less than above-board.

But, I guess as long as you get your piece of the graft.........

And that evidence is.....?

The Premise

The authority of the federal government to collect its income tax depends upon the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the federal income tax amendment, which was allegedly ratified in 1913. After a year of extensive research, Bill Benson discovered that the 16th Amendment was not ratified by the required 3/4 of the states, but nevertheless Secretary of State Philander Knox fraudulently announced ratification

.

sure...except for the amendments you don't like.

but how will you support it when you don't know how it's interpreted?

and still waiting for a credible link to prove the assertion in the O/P.

What happens every year during tax season? Companies that do tax returns tell people you can get your refund here!!! Most people don't make enough to owe a ton in taxes. And the rich hide their money so they don't have to pay.

So honestly what are people complaining about again? That you might not get a refund of the money that you owe the government to provide you roads to get to work, for your kids to get an education. I mean this is socialism people. No education for America, its socialism!!!

I, Contumacious Freeman , do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

.

So I guess "defend the constitution" means defend those articles that you believe in and accept bizarre conspiracy theories so you don't have to defend the articles you don't.

Contumacious, we are all waiting for your evidence, not just your assertions.

There's no link to any "tax foundation" there's a link to Walter Wiliams' OPINION.... and what he asserts the "tax foundation" (whoever the heck they are) says.

his home page is interesting... all global warming denial and BS about "socialism".... and touting Milton Friedman's laissez fair economics (bogus even when Adam Smith advocated it).

So how 'bout honesty about the source, eh?

love the poll tax stuff... it definitely works to exclude African-Americans...or at least it used to.

so figures....

According to the Washington, D.C.-based Tax Foundation, during 2006, roughly 43.4 million tax returns, representing 91 million individuals, had no federal tax liability. That's out of a total of 136 million federal tax returns. Adding to this figure are 15 million households and individuals who file no tax return at all. Roughly 121 million Americans -- or 41 percent of the U.S. population -- are completely outside the federal income tax system. These people represent a natural constituency for big-spending politicians. Since they have no federal income tax obligation, what do they care about higher taxes or tax cuts?

The Tax Foundation - Number of Americans Paying Zero Federal Income Tax Grows to 43.4 Million

Google is your friend, Jillian.

"The proposed tax increases that the White House and Congress are proposing will probably pass. Don't you CON$ ever get tired of lying????? :cuckoo:

According to the CBO publication "Effective Fed Tax Rates pg 18 Table 2: in 2006 the bottom 40% had a 6.3% Federal Tax Liability.
http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/57xx/doc5746/08-13-EffectiveFedTaxRates.pdf

Obviously you are not debating Williams' lies exposed by the CBO numbers, which is precisely why Williams gave no link to HIS phony numbers,
Number of Americans Paying Zero Federal Income Tax Grows to 43.4 Million.

Just re-posting the same unsourced tax foundation lie does not change the fact that the CBO numbers belie your CON$ervative claims.

Each Quintile represents about 22 million tax returns and according to my linked CBO report: the lowest Quintile paid 1.1% and the second Quintile paid 5.2% in Fed tax liabilities so the claim that 43.4 million tax returns had "NO Fed tax liabilities" is obviously a lie and that explains why your source does not link to any supporting data.

You have to copy and paste the whole link through to the .pdf part to download the pdf, USMB butchered the link.

Number of Americans Paying Zero Federal Income Tax Grows to 43.4 Million.

Want to know the funny thing about your 43 million ... anyone earning less than the "poverty" level in their city of residence pays no income tax. ;) So you are all for taxing the poor, glad you finally admitted that.

I wonder why it is that LIBERALS scream LIE when they can't seem to SEARCH THE SOURCE for themselves???

Of course the weathier segments of the population pay the majority of the Federal income taxes.

They make more than majority of the money.

This is exactly what happens because we moved so much formerly american industry offshore.

If you want the lower classes to pay more Federal Taxes, work toward finding a way to get them paid more money.

If you want them to work more and earn and pay a greater percentage of the taxes, then more stop supporting trade laws that allow industries to move off-shore but continue selling into this market.

This is so elementary, yet apparently most Americans still can't understand it.

This is why CON$ are not OBSERVANT enough to be Cynics!!!

Neither Williams nor the tax foundation gives a link to the SOURCE of the NUMBERS they base their OPINIONS on so we can check their accuracy. I, on the other hand, provided a link to the CBO tax numbers that contradict the CON$' claims.
Get it???

Parasites, indeed...

Origins of the Welfare State in America

The New Deal

It was not long before these progressives and social reformers exerted an impact on American national politics. The Progressive Party was launched in 1912 by the Morgans — the party was headed by Morgan partner George W. Perkins — in a successful attempt to nominate Theodore Roosevelt, and thereby destroy President William Howard Taft, who had broken with his predecessor Roosevelt's Pro-Morgan policies. The Progressive Party included all the spearheads of this statist coalition: academic progressives, Morgan businessmen, social-gospel Protestant ministers, and, of course, our subjects, the leading progressive social workers.

Taft actually was a decent Progressive president, even if a distant third to Wilson and Roosevelt. His conservation policies, insisting on state prominence rather than federal, is what led to his break with TR, not a hissy Morganist political charge. To argue that a 'statist' conspiracy was on the loose is sheer stupidity or deliberate falsification on the part of Contumacious.

Since you have made the assetion, Contumacious, let's see some real evidence, not the make believe stuff like you posted from Dr. Williams. Come on, you can and should do better than that.

In its permanent organization of 1913, the Progressive Party adopted "A Plan of Work" proposed by Jane Addams just after the election. Its major division was Progressive Science, headed by New York social worker, attorney, and sociologist Frances A. Kellor. Assisting Frances Kellor as director of the Legislative Reference Bureau, a department of the Progressive Science division, was Chicago pro-union labor lawyer Donald Richberg, later to be prominent in the Railway Labor Act of the 1920s and in the New Deal. Prominent in the Party's Bureau of Education was none other than John Dewey. But particularly important was the Party's Department of Social and Industrial Justice, headed by Jane Addams. Under her, Henry Moskowitz headed the Men's Labor committee, and upper-class philanthropist Mary E. McDowell headed Women's Labor. The Social Security Insurance committee was headed by Paul Kellogg, editor of the leading social work magazine, Survey, while Lillian Wald played a prominent role in the Child Welfare committee.[33]
