57% of my GOP wants the Constitution dismantled and Christianity made the national religion

If you follow the OP's link to the actual poll, you'll see the

"PPP surveyed 316 Republican primary voters from February 20th to 22nd."

In what parallel universe does 57% of 316 people equal all Republicans?

Here's the actual question from the poll which is ridiculously in opposition to the establishment clause:

"Would you support or oppose establishing Christianity as the national religion?"

Notice dismantling the Constitution is not mentioned in the poll question?

This is beyond grasping at straws. More like delirium.

So you are saying that most Republicans cannot understand that if you establish a national religion, that you are dismantling the Constitution? Interesting.

57% of 316 people is not most Republicans.
Your collective mentality is rearing it's ugly head.

Only republicans were polled and they weren't asked about "dismantling of the Constitution" so I wondered how the radical left made that quantum leap in logic. Here's the deal, they conduct a poll and the radical left spins the answers. The "dismantling of the Constitution" issue comes in because the radical left makes the assumption (ass -u- me) that a disagreement with the majority opinion by a Justice (who was a former KKK member) regarding a decision that created the modern version of separation of Church/state which does not appear in the Constitution constitutes "dismantling of the Constitution". You almost gotta laugh that the radical jihad has made two terror attacks on the U.S. and allegedly has a camp a couple of miles across the border and the radical left is more concerned that republican Christians might want to "dismantle the Constitution".

The leftie Democrat lovers has went into full blown dailykos on this board

Nothing of value and nothing but garbage insanity

bring the board down in my book

The source of the article and the poll are about as left wing as you can get. Going to have to call bullshit on this

Public Policy Polling has a history of accurate polling, even being recognized by the Wall Street Journal as a leader in polling accuracy. That the company only conducts polling for Democratic campaigns does not diminish it's accuracy (this is a fairly normal thing in the polling industry), especially where it's methodology is transparently available.

So, I looked through the entire site, and the provided link and no surprise there is no mention of how the 57% number was arrived at. Further, the provided link was merely a poll of how repubs would vote in the upcoming election. So, we have a progressive site lying about repubs and fakey laps it up like the progressive lap dog he is.

As has been pointed out 57 percent of 316 people does not equal out to most Republicans and the site that used the poll is very much a far left site so I stand by my call of bullshit. It would be the same if a right wing site used a poll that said 57 percent of Democrats supported America adopting Sharia law to make peace with radical Islam I would call bullshit on that as well.

they'd take a poll with 10 people if they could stir up some shit with it: on THOSE EVIL Republicans. just desperate and pathetic all rolled into one

My neighbor has dark hair. He has allergies. So according to LibLogic, every single person in the world--every single one with dark hair has allergies.

Very scientific.

Everything is upside down to the radical left. A former KKK member appointed to the Supreme court by FDR dismantled the Constitution when he "found" an issue that did not appear in the Constitution in order to turn the 1st Amendment on it's ear. FDR socialists were afraid of "Papist" run schools that were sprouting up all over the place so a former KKK member who grew up hating Catholics established the modern version of separation of church and state based on assumptions of Jefferson's thoughts based on a single letter rather than Constitutional law. Instead of ensuring freedom of religion the left wingers used the 1st Amendment to restrict religious freedom. It's ironic that evangelical Christians would be happy if they were treated with the same respect as Islamic terrorists enjoy today in the greatest Country in the world.

This stat is amazing to me. We can be any religion we want and no one dare make us afraid, yet many of my co-religionists apparently think like the Islamofascists.

57 Of Republicans Say Dismantle Constitution And Make Christianity National Religion

A misleading headline. They were not asked if they wanted to dismantle the Constitution, just whether they would oppose make Christianity our national religion. They were not even asked if they would impose that religion on others. The responses mean nothing at all.

99.99% of democrats cannot understand that if you restrict the right to own and carry guns you are dismantling the Constitution. Interesting.

Straw man, since you have no evidence that 99% of Democrats want to restrict the right to own and carry guns.

If you create a national religion, you are imposing that religion on EVERYONE.

We are talking about the response on a poll. All that number means is that 57% of the people polled didn't really consider their answer before they gave it. It does not mean they want to trash the Constitution. Suggesting that was the intent of those people is entirely disingenuous.

What is the first rule of understanding leftists......leftists lie...all the time....never, ever trust what they say........

A Jake Starkey OP linking Politicsusa linking a Daily Kos poll.

What could possibly be wrong?!

no kidding, One is Commie site and the Kos is bunch of leftwing children pretending to be intelligent.
