74% of Americans thought we were going in the wrong direction, yet those same people went out and voted for the people taking us in that direction

You just have to shake your head.

Despite political polarization in America, voters according to the 13th annual American Values Survey conducted by the nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) and the Brookings Institution.

"Nearly three in four Americans (74%) say things in this country are going in the wrong direction, compared with 24% who say the country is moving in the right direction," the survey found. "Large majorities of Republicans (93%) and independents (76%) say the country is moving in the wrong direction, compared with a narrower majority of Democrats (53%)."

Not sure what to make of it.

The country is ailing from a great many things, mental illness, drug abuse, indoctrination into the DNC cult and Leftism etc.

And of course political corruption which includes the veracity of the voting now.

Or maybe a combination of these things.

Which just proves that the question "Is America headed in the right direction?" is meaningless as a barometer. If times are good, people will think that it's headed where it should. If times are bad, just the opposite. But it isn't an indicator of how people will vote in an election. That's why I shake my head when people place stock in the results of this meaningless question. :)

No, those same people did not vote for more of the same.
This was another coordinated steal of an election, letting just enough Repubs win in the right places to make it seem legit.
This allows the left to falsely proclaim this proves there is no massive, coordinated cheating & our elections are safe.

This is what happens when you don't fix the obvious treason from 2 years ago.
Mail-in ballot fraud & voting machines will tell us how we voted from now on.

Welcome to post-republic America, where everyday is better than the next

By in large, the direction of the Republicans (under allegiance to trump) was clearly an even worse direction. This should have been in the bag by every indication from gas price, to inflation, to low favorability of the sitting Democrat President. You guys were Fkd by Trump's fingerprints on the candidates, and his message of hate.

I told you, he was poison. If Trump gets on the ballot in 2024, it will be 4 more years of Joe, even if Joe sucks.

Democrats has had complete control for almost 2 years. All we got was, high inflation, high gas prices, high energy prices. Thanks Biden.

What would Republicans have done differently in light of global inflation?

This was a scenario that appeared to favor the opposition so heavily, that it should have been a historic wave.
On one hand, Roe getting overturned gave the Dims the possibility of stemming some of the wave, but in the end, people are more concerned about inflation and the overall economy. Yet, in the end, it looks like at best just a minimal majority in the House is about all the GOP will take out of this election.

The GOP has to have a complete disconnect from Trump, or 2024 will not likely be any better.
