Nothing I've read mentioned the time of day this happened. It was late at night? We're rural. No street lights to speak of. But if for some strange reason, I DID have my drapes open late at night and was looking out, I sure wouldn't call the police if I saw someone running. Might note the time in case I heard something about it the next day.
