A Comparison...

I knew where you were coming from.
A Comparison...

I've taken to watching C-SPAN when they broadcast proceedings in the House of Commons, and I must say that the difference between Britain's Parliament and America's Congress is striking.
The level, speed and quality of the repartee in the House of Commons is, at times, breathtaking. The representatives are always there, and are not speaking before an empty gallery as theire counterparts in Congress often are.

And although he's Dubbyuh's lapdog and his intellectual superior (most anybody is), Tony Blair answers all of his critics cogently and with a sense of humor. I simply cannot see Dubbyuh engaging in such a rapid fire debate in Congress. He would stutter, stumble, get pissed off and storm out of the room.

You managed to smear both the U.S. Congress and Tony Blair while trying to illustrate your point. If you wanted to illustrate GWB's mental capacity without dragging in the Congress or Blair you could have just post the following.

LOVENSTEIN INSTITUTE

Presidential IQ Report

WASHINGTON --In a report published Monday, the Lovenstein Institute of Scranton, Pennsylvania detailed its findings of a four month study of the intelligence quotient of President George W. Bush. Since 1973, the Lovenstein Institute has published its research to the education community on each new president, which includes the famous "IQ" report among others.

According to statements in the report, there have been twelve presidents over the past 50 years, from F. D. Roosevelt to G. W. Bush who were all rated based on scholarly achievements, writings that they alone produced without aid of staff, their ability to speak with clarity, and several other psychological factors which were then scored in the Swanson/Crain system of intelligence ranking. The study determined the following IQs of each president as accurate to within five percentage points:

147 Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
132 Harry Truman (D)
122 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
174 John F. Kennedy (D)
126 Lyndon B. Johnson (D)
155 Richard M. Nixon (R)
121 Gerald Ford (R)
175 James E. Carter (D)
105 Ronald Reagan (R)
98 George H. W. Bush (R)
182 William J. Clinton (D)
91 George W. Bush (R)

The six Republican presidents of the past 50 years had an average IQ of 115.5, with President Nixon having the highest IQ, at 155. President G. W. Bush was rated the lowest of all the Republicans with an IQ of 91.

The six Democrat presidents had IQs with an average of 156, with President Clinton having the highest IQ, at 182. President Lyndon B. Johnson was rated the lowest of all the Democrats with an IQ of 126.

No president other than Carter (D) has released his actual IQ, 176. Among comments made concerning the specific testing of President GW Bush, his low ratings were due to his apparent difficulty to command the English language in public statements, his limited use of vocabulary (6,500 words for Bush versus an average of 11,000 words for other presidents), his lack of scholarly achievements other than a basic MBA, and an absence of any body of work which could be studied on an intellectual basis.

The complete report documents the methods and procedures used to arrive at these ratings, including depth of sentence structure and voice stress confidence analysis. "All the Presidents prior to George W. Bush had a least one book under their belt, and most had written several white papers during their education or early careers..

Not so with President Bush," Dr. Lovenstein said. "He has no published works or writings, so in many ways that made it more difficult to arrive at an assessment. We had to rely more heavily on transcripts of his unscripted public speaking."

The Lovenstein Institute of Scranton Pennsylvania think tank includes high caliber historians, psychiatrists, sociologists, scientists in human behavior, and psychologists. Among their ranks are Dr. Werner R. Lovenstein, world-renowned sociologist, and Professor Patricia F. Dilliams, a world-respected psychiatrist. This study was commissioned on February 13, 2001, and released on July 9, 2001, to subscribing member universities and organizations within the education community.

Have you ever met GW Bush? Then isn't it a bit presumptuous to assume you know anything about his intellect.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister of England is selected by Ministers of Parliament, and answers to them. The President of the United States is the head of an entirely different branch of government than our Congress. Perhaps you should learn the particulars of our governmental system before you mock the intelligence of the President.

With respect to the IQ page:

One need not have met Dubbyuh to make some general inferences as to his intelligence, or lack thereof...Observation is sufficient.

Secondly, I understand the differences between a parliamentary government and a republic. My point being that Dubbyuh lacks the wherewithal to do anythinng more than read carefully scripted responses, and he manages to screw that up.

You can't possible gauge someones intelligence properly simply by observing their speeches and reading their interviews.

By all indications, George Bush is an intelligent man. He's gradutaed from 2 top colleges. Become governor of Texas and then worked his way up to the presidency. He's ran quite a few businesses and has been quite successful.

Continue if you like making baseless claims as you're entitled to your opinion, but then you're no different than a racist that speaks out against blacks simply because of what he's observed.

Well, I've never met you. I've observed a lot of your posts. Your posts infer that you have no intelligence. In fact, I would say that your posts show a clear and complete lack of any intelligent ideas whatsoever. You spout ideaology and references to completely unoriginal ideas, post words from others and have yet to post anything thought provoking or compellingly unique. Again, in point of fact, you haven't even been able to quote others appropriately or accurately.

Would that be fair of me to start saying that you are completely without intelligence? I don't think so. In the first place, what you've chosen to reveal on this message board may not be the limit of your intelligence. In the second, intelligence isn't a one dimensional facet to be judged on someone's ability to speak in public. Hell, if that were the case, Steven Hawking would be a complete retard.

Were it not for his daddy's name, he wouldn't have even become a dog-catcher.

In other words, you're jealous because of his fame and fortune and you've been relegated to being a piss cleaner who doesn't have a pot to piss in himself. I guess I would be angry too!

Fame and fortune don't hold much attraction for me.

You apparently have no respect for the nursing profession.

I do so have indoor plumbing and it works perfectly well.

Do a careful reading of the history of Dubbyuh's business and political career. His businesses invariably went tits up, and his political career has always been guided by others seeking to capitalize on the Bush family name.

Spoken by most people who don't have shit.

Just piss pan cleaners.

Stealing piss pans from the hospital again?

Like I said, fame and fortune. It's a fact that he is famous. It's a fact that he has made millions over the years in big business.

And I'll bet he's never once mopped up someone else's urine.

You know its the same old B.S. with liberals, they are so pissed off at anybody who is successful that they can't see straight. Invariably you'll hear from them that they got to where they are from privilege, corruption or name recognition. You'll also hear the good old I don't ever want to be rich or successful B.S. which is just code for them whining about why somebody else and not me. Bravo to Bully, you've got the playbook down pat.

Point one: Got plenty, don't need more.

Point two: Be sure to let your nurse know that when you wind up in the E.R. or in ICU.

Point three: Non-sequitur.

Point four: The little peckerwood would've been better off for it.

Wrong...wrong...wrong. Why do you automatically brand as "liberal" anyone opposed to your point of view?

I'm pleased as punch by anyone who succeeds at what they do, so long as they do it honestly. Dubbyuh has come by nothing honestly.
