For the last 70 years we have been part of a formidable coalition called NATO, whose MAIN purpose has been to ward off the encroachment of totalitarian Russia.

Turkey sought and became a member of NATO in 1952.

ALL NATO members imposed sanctions on Russia for a variety of reasons, but especially for Putin's blatant invasion and occupation of Crimea.

Defying NATO sanctions, however, Turkey has chosen to buy a huge stockpile of weaponry from Putin (supposedly because Turkey is "afraid" of the Kurds.)

Now, one would expect that our "beloved" Trump would be a bit pissed at Erdogan of Turkey......but, as we all know, Trump would rather harass France and Germany and Canada, than to ever go against someone like Erdogan since he greatly and enviously admires dictators.......and heaven forbid for the Russian stooge in the oval office to EVER chide the likes of his handler, Putin for sowing discord among NATO members.

So, Trump is facing a test of whether he is more pro-NATO or pro-Putin (and Erdogan)....How do you think this little "test" willgo over with Trump?

What test?

How effective is NATO? It seems that they rotate leadership and Bill Clinton was lucky enough to find a fellow traveler who authorized the carpet bombing of a freaking defenseless European country when he was caught with his pants down. What did we gain from killing an estimated 5,000 Yugoslavia/Bosnian people who were once loyal to the U.S? The surrender of one man who mysteriously died in custody and another occupation force?

Got any links to back that up?

The 1980s called, they want their foreign policy back.
So you're pro Russia?

NATO was formed to oppose the SOVIET UNION, the USSR.

You democrat wailed and gnashed teeth when it fell in 1988...

Never was Russia the enemy, it was your Siamese twin, the USSR.

What about NATO/the EU's blatant invasion of the Ukraine where an E.U friendly puppet was installed followed by the IMF going in and making the Ukraine pledge their assets, put austerity measures in place in exchange for an extension of credit?

It sucks when Putin's puppet can't murder enough of his fellow Ukrainians to quash a revolt and he has to flee before they can string him up, eh comrade?

NATO embraced Obama's lead and allowed Russia to occupy Crimea .. correct...It seems that Putin doesn't respect other leaders of the world that embrace cowardice and wimpy responses..

Check out Syria, how many civilians died (I've heard estimates up to 800,000 including 10's of thousand of children) and suffered under as Obama sat by and played the top embarrassment to all Americans and a feckless pussy to the world..
