Of course they do. Animals will exhibit homosexual mating behavior when there isn't a suitable mate. As soon as there is a suitable mate, they stop exhibiting homosexual behavior. Animals don't love. They mate. They are loyal to community members whether it's a pack or a pride. They aren't in love with any of them. Animals do not romance.

It isn't easy for a male penguin. Females choose their mates and males have little to say. If not chosen by a female the nesting urge doesn't go away. The male must still nest. He will nest with another unchosen male. They don't love each other.
