A narcissist may view truth as simply what other people as a whole think of it

A narcissist judge of the truth might be merely what they think other people think of it and they go along with that simply because they are to afraid of the negative consequences to their developed image of themselves (which is always what other people think of them). Other people can be wrong but as long as they think other people think they are right then their positive self-image remains intact. It doesn't matter if other people are right or wrong. It only matters that their own sense of a positive public image remains intact.

They will believe what they think other people think is true simply because can't tolerate the situation in which their possibly accurate belief yet minortiy is deemed wrong by the group they happen to inhabit. Popular opinion of the truth is the truth in their own mind because they don't want to be in a situation where they are deemed wrong by others around them if he/she happens to disagree with whatever popular opinion is. Their own positive self-image that is solely dependent on what they think other people think of them is threatened in that situation.
