is there another type of king?.....chuck at least wrote his stuff and got out there and played it....elvis had people write songs for him,he didnt write any of his hits....he was just a good looking white kid with a good voice ..........one place elvis will never be is the song writing hall of fame.....

Elvis had a stage presence like no other performer and an incredible voice. Who cares if he didn't write his own songs. Nobody would have ever heard of Chuck Berry if Elvis didn't break the color barrier and opened mainstream radio to black artists. All those folks owe a debt of gratitude to him.
