They have the resources and they failed to do their damn job. Too many excuses for the failure of the government to do their damn job, and now they need to explain what they will do to fix their stupidity and mistake.

A man that pledge his loyalty to Al Qaeda to Hezbollah and had known contact with a known terrorist and investigated by the FBI should have been flagged.

Except that Al Qaeda and Hezbollah hate each other, so you can't be members of both. The FBI concluded this guy was talking smack because his white coworkers were harassing him.

Now, if you want to have REAL background checks where you thoroughly investigate people before you let them buy guns, and it takes as long as it takes, I'm good with that. But don't complain that the "government" didn't do a job the NRA has insisted it not have the power to do.

Even if this guy HAD been flagged to be put on the "No Fly" list, he could still buy a gun.

Here's the thing. Not only did the FBI clear him, but his company didn't fire him. So there probably was some fault with his co-workers.

Well, no, guy. You don't have a "right" to get on an airplane. An Airplane is private property owned by a company that has a right to refuse to let you on if they have a reasonable fear you might hijack it or blow it up.

The killer might not have bought the gun legally had he been on the list, so claiming it would have stopped him is not correct.

Also the No-Fly list is faulty and had Ted Kennedy and other on it that were not terrorists and it should be the government job to prove they are a threat and not the individual to prove they are not that person.

Finally, when will someone admit the FBI failed to contain the threat?

They knew this guy was a threat and still no flagging. If something must change then flag the individual and open another investigation and surveillance on them but the lists are not accurate and could be used as a political hit list.

I know you will disagree until another Republican is in the Oval office and then you will demand those lists not be used and I will be laughing at you!

Maybe today it is just people on terrorist and no fly lists, but you can bet it is just a matter of time and trump will be coming for your guns nutters.

How did gun laws in France work out ?
