I think it is a three, no four headed, coin....very complex:

1) Moral: Probably a sin, or misdeed under any moral system, because it clearly involves some degree of selfishness which results in a human not getting the chance at life.

2) Legal: Clearly legal according to our laws and the Supreme Court's interpretation of them...in the first trimester anyway.

3a) Liberals expect the taxpayers to pay for abortions for the poor....which is patently absurd; and yet

3b) From a financial point, how can taxpayer money possibly be better spent, as most of the children born to teenage unmarried poor girls are almost certain to be a huge expense for the rest of their lives, particularly if they are processed through the penal justice system, as so many are---in a spiraling cycle of failure (See South Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore)

No wonder there is no consensus.

The 3b point is probably true; doesn't change the basic morality IMHO of ending a human life or the potential for one though. In a way it's kind of a form of back door eugenics, perhaps pragmatically wiser to cut the costs to society as early as possible by limiting the number of the poorest among us. Shouldn't be question of costs or money, or of politics or religion either for that matter. I would far rather see free contraceptives out there than free abortions.

I have thought about this kind of stuff for years, because the current Welfare State is surely going to bankrupt this once great country. It should be obvious by now---it just keeps getting worse.

Only answer is to start paying teen-age, unmarried, girls NOT to get pregnant...on a volunatry basis of course...instead of incentivizing them to get pregnant, which is the current policy...whether liberals admit it or not.

Race traitors are brainwashed by the degenerate media and don't have what should be called "opinions" any more than ventriloquists' puppets have them. You are inanimate.
No offense, but you sir, are a moron. Thankfully an anachronism.

Decade After Decadent Decade, Generation After Degenerate Generation

There's nothing wrong with turning back the clock if it is connected to a time bomb. The New Age will soon be old-fashioned, a pothole that made the March of Time stumble temporarily.

You must really hate this country.

Way more complex than murder not murder. we send living humans out to murder other humans over ideology, we murder people who murder, call it revenge or justice. those against abortion, throw up road blocks against things that would reduce the need/want for abortion . our whole way of life is under pressure, nations hold the power to end all life. yet so many peoples voting stance rests on one or two issues, aborting being # 1 or 2 . every thing else seems an after thought.

Let's cut the noise and platitudes, shall we?

Are children not entitled to the the equal protection of our laws from the moment their lives begin?

Yes or no?

I think it just depends on if you consider a fetus a "person" or not.
I dont, so i dont see abortion as immoral. Not to mention, its immoral to force a person to go against their wishes with their own body.
At what point do you feel it is a human life?
This fails as a loaded question fallacy.

Lol!

Fail.

A loaded question or complex question fallacy is a question that contains a controversial or unjustified assumption (e.g., a presumption of guilt).[1]

Heath care is coming to the same point. We spend millions to keep old sick people alive another six months. Or even young terminally ill people.

Hell, we had a huge political debate on pulling the plug on a brain dead person.

Moral to save the life of the mother or in the case of rape.
Immoral when used as birth control
