Abortion should be banned in the United States

* 99% Scuttle Butt Bleat With Melodramatic Incorrect Statistics *

I am pro-life, my view is that unless human rights mean something divergent to "human rights," the unborn should have them. As a consequence, I believe nearly all abortion should be banned (the typical 99% or more or cases). There are potential exceptions which I remain agnostic on but these do not make up the paradigm of incidents. Otherwise, I have never heard a good argument for legal abortion and I will openly argue that it ought to be banned.
Perhaps approximately 93% of abortions might be referred to as " without cause " abortion , however approximately 7% of abortions might be referred to as " with cause " abortion , which is based on cdc records for when abortions occur .

It is observed , as a general disposition of would be mothers that they do not seek " without cause " abortion beyond a first trimester , that expects adequate access to services are available , as access is the usual cause of further latency .

The detection of developmental anomalies that are understood as " with cause " abortions are most often detected via ultrasound between 13 and 20 weeks of development , in either the fetus or mother , or through amniocentesis with a 1 in 100 chance of miscarriage at 15 weeks , or a 1 in 200 chance of miscarriage at 20 weeks .

The rape and incest topics exceptions are red herrings to distract from traitorous acts against principles of individualism .

In general , " without cause " abortions are not sought when " with cause " abortions are valid , and those seeking to implement public policy against abortion choice in " with cause " abortions are traitorous social collectivist ( socialists ) authoritarians against principles of individualism upon which us republic is founded .

When during pregnancy do most abortions occur?

The vast majority of abortions occur during the first trimester of a pregnancy. In 2020, 93% of abortions occurred during the first trimester – that is, at or before 13 weeks of gestation, according to the CDC. An additional 6% occurred between 14 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, and 1% were performed at 21 weeks or more of gestation. These CDC figures include data from 40 states and New York City (but not the rest of New York).

ABSTRACT
About 3% of all conceptions are associated with major congenital malformations, many of them are lethal developmental defect and genetic in origin or teratogenic (adverse effects of the envi- ronment during gametogenesis or early embryogenesis). Genetics with or without adverse envi- ronment has role in virtually every developmental defect/malformation disorders in causation, predisposition, susceptibility & modulation of disease. Advances in genetics, introduction of triple marker screening, routine obstetric ultrasound examination into obstetric practice & accesses to prenatal diagnosis helped in secondary prevention (early detection & termination) of lethal deve- lopmental defects. Ultrasound detection of fetal developmental defects/malformation is common now and often decision on pregnancy solely based on ultrasonic morphological description. This practice leads to difficulty in providing accurate counseling as well as preventing disorder in sub- sequent pregnancy, in particular early. Hence an understanding of reproductive genetics of major developmental disorders is important for today’s perinatal care specialists. This overview will outline the various lethal developmental defects observed in an advanced reproductive genetics set up and various approaches adopted to derive diagnosis. Detailed assessment of fetus after termination of pregnancy (spontaneous/induced) for fetal anomalies was carried out in most cases. As most cases was referred after termination in formalin routine chromosomal analysis was not possible however, in selected cases targeted FISH analysis with specific chromosomal probe was carried out to confirm clinical diagnosis. Detailed evaluation of fetus is important as this practice often helped in modification of genetic counseling, as well as course of management in the next pregnancy. No molecular diagnostic or screening work was carried out due to non availability of information and facility in past. However, this is important today as many of the lethal develop- mental defects are yet to be categorized etiopathologically, and hence immediate need is to start clinical registry along with biorepository of developmental defects cases for future research work on informative families, in particular with multiple affected fetuses/sibs, using genomics, proteo- mics, metabolomics, platforms.

Just wrong.

If you don't yet know what liars PBS are, you are deeply deluded.

Just wrong.

.
PBS are not liars. Only right wing wackos think they are. Great programming. Sorry you're too brainwashed to realize it.

I got an abortion because I felt threatened. It wasn't murder.

A guy told me it wasn't murder because the white guy felt threatened by the black guy. In another thread. Anyways, I thought I'd use that in this argument. Abortion is not murder because I felt threatened by the womb.

Then by all means, go to your local chapter and educate them on what the definition of slavery is.

I don't need to. We seem to be on the same sheet of music.

Women should have the right to choose regarding their reproductive health – a right that we value. The government should not be able to interfere in women’s decisions regarding their own bodies and their right to privacy.

This latest decision by the SCOTUS in overturning Roe v. Wade is a step forward in eroding any and all established rights. The NAACP condemns efforts by any executive, judicial, or legislative body to erode or overturn well-settled precedents recognizing and protecting reproductive rights and civil and human rights. • The right to privacy and control of a women's body should be preserved. The NAACP has always supported this right and will ght for reproductive justice.

How is forcing a woman to have a baby she doesn't want anything OTHER than slavery? You are compelling a person to do something they don't want to do.
I don’t want to have to refrain from strangling you to death right now, you filthy piece of shit. I guess I’m a slave since it’s illegal to kill you.

I got an abortion because I felt threatened.
Your psychopathic delusions don’t mean that you don’t deserve a prompt execution if your claim is true.

If you in fact killed another innocent human being in cold blood, as you claim, then you are a rabid animal who should be put down so you don’t hurt anyone else.

Um, okay... here's what else you could do.

you could - Put me on ignore.
Not read or respond to my posts.
Not jump into threads where you see I am active.
Or even do something like "Respond to my posts with something resembling substance". Which would no doubt shock me.

But no one is compelling you to read my posts or respond to me. Nor is it actually costing you anything in terms of financial setbacks or health effects to read my posts.

Now, a pregnant woman who has decided that she doesn't want to have her rapist's baby doesn't have that option. She either aborts it or she lives with a daily reminder of what was done to her.

Now, I'm honest enough to admit that most unwanted pregnancies didn't start with a rape. But if you allow the rape victim to get an abortion, then you have to allow the one night stand woman to get an abortion, too.

You calling all these women murderers?

Nearly one in four women in the United States (23.7%) will have an abortion by age 45

There are probably murderers in your own family and you don't even know it. Nor should you. It's nunya bizness.

tissue. nothing more than tissue.

Abortion is medical care. No it should not be banned.
.

No, liar.

Sexual responsibility is medical care.

For those who are too stupid to realize this or to learn how to use contraception, too fucking bad.

It's not hard. I knew how to use it when I was 16 years old.

Ask a leftist who is pregnant with a WANTED child if that's "nothing more than tissue". This is the concept none of you losers will address.

You'll get a hypcritical answer to that question every time. I had a leftist acquaintance who got pregnant on purpose to trap her well-off boyfriend into marrying her. To her, that "nothing more than tissue" was her meal ticket for life. After she had two wanted children with the poor sap, she became as pro-abortion as anyone, the pig.

  • Reasons individuals seek abortions later in pregnancy include medical concerns such as fetal anomalies or maternal life endangerment, as well as barriers to care that cause delays in obtaining an abortion.
Most of you hypocrites would get a late term abortion too if you were faced with that difficult choice

Abortions occurring at or after 21 weeks gestational age are rare. They are often difficult to obtain, as they are typically costly, time-intensive and only performed by a small subset of abortion providers. Yet these abortions receive a disproportionate amount of attention in the news, policy and the law, and discussions on this topic are often fraught with misinformation; for example, intense public discussions have been sparked after several policymakers have theorized about abortions occurring “moments before birth” or even “after birth.” In reality, these scenarios do not occur, nor are they legal, in the U.S. Discussion of this topic is further obscured due to the terms sometimes used to describe abortions later in pregnancy– including “late-term,” “post-viability,” “partial birth,” “dismemberment” and “born-alive” abortions—despite many medical professionals criticizing and opposing their use. This fact sheet explains why individuals may seek abortions later in pregnancy, how often these procedures occur, how the concepts of viability and fetal pain play into this topic, and the various laws which regulate access to abortions later in pregnancy.

The Supreme court made clear in Roe v. Wade that the courts are not in a position to assess when life begins and when viability has been reached, writing, “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins. When those trained in the respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus, the judiciary, at this point in the development of man’s knowledge, is not in a position to speculate as to the answer.”
Abortions occurring at or after 21 weeks gestation are rare. According to the CDC’s Abortion Surveillance Data, the vast majority of abortions (91%) occur at or before 13 weeks gestation, while 7.7% occur from weeks 14 to 20 gestation, and just 1.2% of abortions are performed at or after 21 weeks (Figure 1). This amounts to approximately 5,200 abortions per year occurring at or after 21 weeks
Almost half of individuals who obtained an abortion after 20 weeks did not suspect they were pregnant until later in pregnancy, and other barriers to care included lack of information about where to access an abortion, transportation difficulties, lack of insurance coverage and inability to pay for the procedure. This is unsurprising, given abortions can be cost-prohibitive for many; in a study from 2011-2012, the median cost of a surgical abortion at 10 weeks was $495, jumping to $1,350 at 20 weeks (range $750-$5,000) excluding the cost of travel and lost wages. Yet the Federal Reserve Board found 40% of U.S. adults do not have enough in savings to pay for a $400 emergency expense, meaning many individuals may need to delay having an abortion until they can raise the necessary funds.
Let's make them free!!!

Fetal Anomalies: Individuals also seek abortions later in pregnancy due to medical reasons. With medical advances, many genetic fetal anomalies can be detected early in pregnancy; for example, chorionic villus sampling can diagnose Down Syndrome or cystic fibrosis as earlier as 10 weeks gestation. Structural fetal anomalies, however, are often detected much later in pregnancy. As part of routine care, a fetal anatomy scan is performed around 20 weeks, which entails ultrasound imaging of all the developing organs. Many structural anomalies are discovered at this time that would not have been apparent previously. A proportion of these are lethal fetal anomalies, meaning that the fetus will almost certainly die before or shortly after birth, meaning the fetus may be nonviable.2 In these cases, many individuals wish to terminate their pregnancies, rather than carrying the pregnancy until the fetus or newborn passes away. Very often these pregnancies are desired, making this decision exceedingly difficult for parents. Inadequate data exist to know how many abortions later in pregnancy occur due to fetal anomalies, but a study by Washington University Hospital showed almost all women whose fetuses had lethal fetal anomalies chose to terminate their pregnancies.

A study of maternal fetal medicine (MFM) doctors—specialists who manage pregnancies with fetal anomalies— found most agreed that termination of pregnancy due to a lethal fetal anomaly should be allowed in all circumstances (76%).
