Texas Governor Greg Abbott said the death toll from the shooting at Robb Elementary School has risen to 15.

Abbott said the gunman shot and killed 14 students and one teacher. He also said the gunman is believed to be dead.​

The gunman was later killed by police. His name has been identified but has not yet been released. Police are examining whether he was connected to the school.

I thought it sounded bad earlier because the police were being so cagey about not letting parents pick up their children (because they were dead, it turns out) and about telling parents to go to the Emergency Room at a hospital.
