Many enlightened folks don't believe in any god, so for them there was no Adam and EveThe Bible says so.
Genesis 1 describes God creating humanity.
26 Then God said, “Let us make man[h] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Genesis 2 describes God creating Adam and Eve and placing them in the Garden of Eden. You can read about it here: Bible Gateway passage: Genesis 2 - New International Version
So how do you account for God creating humans in Genesis 1 and then creating Adam and Eve in Genesis 2?
Already explained this to you.
Genesis 1 is a summary of creation of man and the universe.
Genesis 2 starts to give details.
The key verse to point this out is Genesis 2 verse 4.
Genesis 2
1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
Thanks.
Why did God have Adam and Eve and their descendants bear differing species of humans such as Neanderthals?
You have to notice little subtle phrases while having a practical understanding of where they are leaving the message and lessons from. The Bible says so.

In the Zohar Lilith the first woman is equated as Israel. Lilith left man when man refused her equality and she refused his "missionary" position.
Adam (meaning man) was then given a partner which came out of his rib (not out of God's creation) as soon as she saw Eve (adam-man's second bride)clinging to his side she (Lilith- the Night Spector) fled from man .
Lilith thus was cast into the depths of the sea (Rome), where she abode until the time that Adam and his wife (the church) sinned. Then the Holy One, brought her out from the depth of the sea (Rome) and gave her power over all those children by "bringing back" the first bride (Israel).
You dismiss inconvenient facts as BS. You're a self-righteous idiot.
They were the first human beings created in a state of grace..That has always been my interpretation.
It seems that there was something different and special about adam and eve in particular.
You really have reading comprehension issues, don't youSo how do you account for God creating humans in Genesis 1 and then creating Adam and Eve in Genesis 2?
Neanderthals died out 12,000 years ago. They weren't "Man"Thanks.
Why did God have Adam and Eve and their descendants bear differing species of humans such as Neanderthals?
Man was given the "spirit in Man". Neanderthal was a different species. He had no cities, highways, written language and probably only a basic spoken language at bestMore made up BS.
There are no different species of humans.

Go fuck your whore mother.
Neanderthal is extinctThere is only one species of humans.
All people on Earth came from Adam and Eve.
