All Eyes On 6th District Appeals Court For Polygamy/gay Marriage/adoption

I guess the majority in each state that voted to define marriage as between man/woman are all "people like Sil" to you...all 10s of millions of them. They're also known as "votes". Check your calendar and get back to me.

On that note, if the 6th has made no decision or decides to remove the power of self-rule from the states on the question of gay marriage by November, I'm staying home. I'm not voting for any political party who opens a legal door for deviant sex perverts who do lewd acts in public as a matter of "pride" in parades in front of kids to sue adoption agencies to force them to relinquish vulnerable orphans to people who, as a culture, get 100% behind those "parades"..

...Oh yes, all gays worship Harvey Milk and behave like those pictures. Yes, only gays are deviants and pedophiles. Only gay people act inappropriately in front of children. Please! How pedantic to think some represent all!...
0% of the LGBT population has come out publicly to denounce Harvey Milk's sex life with minor boy(s) and 0% of the LGBT population has come out publicly to denounce gay pride parades around kids.

0%. Send me a link if I'm wrong about that.

Here's how judge Sutton of the 6th questioned attorneys and made comments during the hearings in August:
Sixth Circuit Leans Toward Ban National News SFGN Articles

"
In addition to his unusual interest in Baker, what stood out as most important to Sutton was his repeated posits that the “best way” for the LGBT community to achieve equality for its relationships is through “the democratic process.” Although same-sex couples are looking for concrete benefits of marriage, he said the briefs filed in the case
“And if respect and dignity are critical, or the key elements here --maybe this is just something I’m missing but—I would have thought the best way to get respect and dignity is through the democratic process,” said Sutton. “Forcing one’s neighbors, co-employees, friends to recognize that these marriages …deserve the same respect as in a heterosexual couple. It’s just funny to me why the democratic process, which seems to be going pretty well –you know, nothing happens as quickly as we might like—but I’m just curious how you react to that point.”
Stanyard replied that the Michigan amendment banning same-sex couples from marrying “gutted the democratic process in Michigan.”
“Voters can no longer appeal to their legislators,” said Stanyard. “Second, the usual deference to the legislative process evaporates if there’s a reason to infer antipathy….And there are plenty of reasons to infer antipathy here.”
Sutton wouldn’t give up. He said that, if the issue was put before Michigan voters again, “it would certainly be a different vote and it might be a different outcome, even today.”...

...
it’s all about changing the hearts and minds, which I have to believe is one of the key goals,” said Sutton, interrupting. “Isn’t it worth the expense?”

0% of the LGBT population has come out publicly to denounce Harvey Milk's sex life with minor boy(s) and 0% of the LGBT population has come out publicly to denounce gay pride parades around kids.

So what? You do realize that most of the people that bring their kids to the gay pride parade are straight, right?

And you do realize that Harvey Milk's sex life is utterly irrelevant to the rights of gay people, right?

And if respect and dignity are critical, or the key elements here --maybe this is just something I’m missing but—I would have thought the best way to get respect and dignity is through the democratic process,” said Sutton.

Interracial marriage was overturned in 1967. It wasn't until 1997 that a majority of the nation approved of interracial marriage. The idea that gays should have to wait 30 years for rights they should have today is ludicrous. Rights aren't a matter of a vote. And while respect and dignity are indeed important, rights are more so.

If you're going to deny gays and lesbians their rights, you need a very good reason. And you don't have one.

Uggghhh.....my initial post is gone. I have bad luck with message boards and forums I guess

Where are links to your sources? Why are you asking me for a link when you haven't provided any yourself? You haven't proven the LGBT community unanimously reveres Harvey Milk by any means. Seems SOME of the LGBT community aren't the only ones who haven't denounced Harvey Milk. The citings below were either political opponents or at least critics of him.

He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009, a decision made by the US Senat and Obama.

The United States Postal Service released a
commemorative postage stamp in May 2014 (Harvey Milk Stamp Shows How Far LGBT Americans Have Come - US News

"The poll found that opposition came from all demographics of the city, including those who reside in Milk’s former district in the Castro, where support barely cracked 50 percent. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, only 45 percent of respondents who identified as LGBT supported the idea."
Regarding enacting a "Harvey Milk Day" in San Francisco, CA 3/2/13. Majority of San Francisco residents oppose renaming airport after Harvey Milk

Political opponents of Milk: "Harvey Milk's Mixed Legacy" Harvey Milk s Mixed Legacy Libertarian Mentioned gay congressman Barney Frank for example.

Gay state senator Roy Ashburn "Gays Against Gay Rights Sickeningly Liberal"

Honestly, I am sickened by Milk's openness about sleeping with minors and pedophiles in general. When you say publicly do I have to get on my local news to refute your supposed statistic of 0%?

I suspect you might scrutinize any links or sources I provide to simply be a pedant. I welcome your credible articles and statistics or at least attempts.

Its Silo. That's his schtick. You'll find he's also really big on making up pseudo-legal 'rules' that don't actually exist. And then insisting that the courts are bound to them.

Oh, and Welcome!

http://www.lgbt-today.com/index.php...nts-oppose-renaming-airport-after-harvey-milk

I think that had more to do with the fact that renaming the airport to anything other than San Francisco International was just a really bad idea. The city's name is internationally iconic. The airport uses that iconic name. And very few people around the world know who Harvey Milk is.

The people don't have the right to strip away the rights of other people. Oh, you wish they could. You're desperate for the tyranny of the majority. But you don't think it through. If a simple 50% + 1 vote can be used to strip gays and lesbians of rights......what prevents the majority from stripping away your rights? You're allowing your loathing of gays and lesbians to override your reason. And rob you of the ability to recognize why the tyranny of the majority is such a spectacularly bad idea.

The founders understood why. Which is why they created a republic in which rights couldn't be voted away. First at the federal level. And then at the State level with the passage of the 14th amendment. Rights trump powers, Silo. Which is why your argument keeps failing. As your claims are based on the fallacious idea that powers trump rights.

I'm not voting for any political party who opens a legal door for deviant sex perverts who do lewd acts in public as a matter of "pride" in parades in front of kids to sue adoption agencies to force them to relinquish vulnerable orphans to people who, as a culture, get 100% behind those "parades"..

No child is going to be adopted against their will. And gay pride parades have zero relevance to gay marriage or the fitness of any particular gay parent. Hell, most of the people that bring their kids to Pride are straight. Flushing yet another of your imaginary excuses for trying to treat gays and lesbians as less.

Well as soon as children are protected from a cult that displays its unapologetic zeal to include children in lewd displays of sex in public, I'll stop talking about it? Or maybe if you get an LGBT person of note to step up in mainstream news interviews to denounce pride parades and Harvey Milk, I'll stop? Deal? Until then, someone needs to point out that the emperor has no clothes..

Below is the Oakland apology to the leather S&M camp for excluding them at first from the 'family friendly' public gay pride event. Notice the bootlicking retraction. The children will march in the same parade as the S&M leather adults.

The parade will host pony rides, Jolly Trolly from Children’s Fairyland and singer/drummer Sheila E. Instead of Dykes on Bikes, they are kicking off with Tykes on Trikes....

...The leather community was not pleased to hear that they would be excluded from the event, leading to a correction and apology released late Saturday from Oakland Pride saying that Uribe was misquoted in the article and that although there will be "no nudity or sexually explicit material at the Parade or Festival, this in no way denies the leather community from participating." Uribe continued, "First off, let me apologize to anyone who was offended by the quote in the article. Those are not my sentiments and not my words. What the article should have said is that we are not allowing nudity, which I can only assume that the reporter made the jump to leather, which is not acceptable."- See more at: FrontiersLA.com Oakland Pride No Nudity but Leather Community is More Than Welcome "

How did I miss this particularly bat guano thread of Sil's?

a) 6th circuit isn't looking at polygamy at all- just a Sil lie.
b) In other threads Sil was claiming that Tykes on Trikes were going to be in the 2015 SF Pride Parade- which she shows here is another lie.
c) Her own list of groups marching in the SF Pride Parade shows how mainstream this event is now.
d) I have attended the SF Pride Parade perhaps 5 times. Never once saw any sex acts- so her claim
"the lewdest sex acts are commonplace in the SF "Pride" parade." is just another lie

These lies show the desperation of the anti-gay activists- they have to lie to try to scare people about the EVIL GAYS!

0% of the LGBT population has come out publicly to denounce Harvey Milk's sex life with minor boy(s) and 0% of the LGBT population has come out publicly to denounce gay pride parades around kids.

0%. Send me a link if I'm wrong about that.

I know you will continue to rant and rave with bat guano hate claims against homosexuals.

We can continue to show how bat guano crazy everything you post is.

Yeah, no one else cares except you. I mean we know you are hung up about Pride Parades to the point you just can't stop talking about them and the butt sex.

Demonstrating rather elegantly that its not gay marriage that Silo takes issue with. Its gays themselves. And personal animus and loathing isn't a rational basis of our laws. And certainly not a valid basis for denying people their rights.

Well as soon as children are protected from a cult that displays its unapologetic zeal to include children in lewd displays of sex in public, I'll stop talking about it? O

What cult? What children? Protection from what?

You're offering us a series of nested, fact free and hysterically bigoted assumptions. Please realize that the doomsday scenario that you're lamenting against.....is in your own head. You invented it. You've cultivated it. You've proclaimed it.

And it has nothing to do with the rest of us. Your imagination doesn't trump someone else's rights. Your bigotry doesn't trump someone else's rights. Your personal loathing doesn't trump someone else's rights. And the tyranny of the majority that you're demanding we impose is a terrible idea. As if gays can be arbitrarily stripped of any right with a simple 50% + 1 vote.....then so can you.

a) 6th circuit isn't looking at polygamy at all- just a Sil lie.

I don't think he's lying. I think in his anti-gay hysteria he genuinely sees rulings that don't actually exist. He's simply reporting to us the visions that populate the wasteland of his own imagination. I mean, the Windsor ruling doesn't even mention the constitutionality of gay marriage bans. Let alone decide them. Yet Silo insists that the courts proclaimed that gay marriage bans are constitutional in that ruling.

You can't teach that. That kind of naked delusion is something that your brain kinda does for you.

Sillhy is whipping out her favorite pics again I see. Hey what about the one with the gay couple holding the baby Sillhy? Did that one backfire on you?
You're talking about this one right?

gaydaddys_zps908384a9.jpg

No, I think it belongs here too. Thanks for that reminder. I think seeing a man in his 40s with an older teen, very young 20s boy at his side as they both fondle a newborn infant [hope it's not a boy] is completely appropriate for the consideration of the topic of this thread. Especially when taken in with the information in post #11 here...

Again, thanks for the reminder.

Hmmm delusions or conscious lies.

I go with conscious lies.

Silhouette has shown a propensity to lie in order to attack homosexuals.

But perhaps her delusions allow her rationalize her lies.

The topic is the 6th. Do you agree or disagree with Judge Sutton that the LGBT community should back away from forcing their ilk on the majority and instead 'win the hearts and minds' state by state? I mean obviously he can see you're not a race or a religion [well, you are a religion, but not officially yet]. So he's saying "why should we force your way of life on the majority". And I agree. Go state by state if you're so convinced that "a majority of Americans now support gay marriage". Should be a cake walk for you. But alas, no. Sutton can see that what you're after is imposing your value system on an unwilling and unconvinced majority.

Your secret is out. And judge Sutton is well aware of it.

Are you outraged with the straight world doing their bit to sodomize young children, sell them into slavery(sexual), trying to solicit young girls to do sexual things for them?
If you are then you must admit that the disgusting behavior exist in all the world.
But this outrages you so much more because..?
Not to mention illegal prostitution on the street corners and in parking lots by heterosexuals in view and in public display.
:eusa_naughty:

That's their ID card...normal homos should be disgusted.
What is their "ID card"? And no LGBT people to my knowledge have ever spoken out against pride parades or Harvey Milk's sodomizing teens on drugs. Do you know of any? Anywhere? No press release I've heard of..

What's a "normal gay person" BTW? Someone who speaks out against LGBT 'pride' parades or Harvey Milk? Don't hold your breath.

The topic is the 6th. Do you agree or disagree with Judge Sutton that the LGBT community should back away from forcing their ilk on the majority and instead 'win the hearts and minds' state by state?

No. As 'dignity' and 'respect', while valuable...aren't as valuable as rights. And gays and lesbians should have to wait for their rights until the public votes them in. Their rights aren't determined by a majority vote. They're already reserved. It took the nation 30 years to catch up with the Loving ruling.....with 50% of the population finally agreeing that interracial marriage should be legal in 1997.

Asking gays to wait 30 years for their rights is ludicrous. They should have them already. And in 30 of 50 states, they do.
