Great find.

What a sad day in America that they felt they had to make that pledge. Don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled that they have done so.

God Bless these great Americans.

Good for them. Keep in mind a County Sheriff is a politician, a deputy sheriff is the one who will risk his/her life - and some will lose their life - because these these assholes acted in their interests and not in the interest of their staff and the citizens of FL.

They are trading the lives of their deputies for votes.

Amazing that invariably, the most pronouncd limpwristers get OCD about getting their opinion in on this stuff..........

Talking about limpwristers..........this guy has always been a prolific writer in terms of shoveling fantasy into the daily papers.....also a prolific limpwrister.........

No, they are responding to the desires of thier fellow citizens in thier localities, and not some progressive hacks from Washington D.C. or the other progressive hellholes.

This is at the local level, and they know what the people who live in thier counties want.

I am sure most military, police etc would stand for the rights of the people. After all, they took an oath

Liberty County Sheriff Nick Finch

This one took it serious, wish more would.

Latest update from the Sheriff Finch case:

HUGE CASE UPDATE: Sheriff Finch's first court date was yesterday, neither he or his attorney had to be present as his attorney had already sent in pleading paperwork.....pleading NOT GUILTY. Today the state offered to "defer" all charges on Sheriff Nick Finch....... If he will RESIGN. If you don't know what this means for the State of Florida's case it basically means they have nothing! Despite that they still asked an official elected BY THE PEOPLE to resign from office for something even they know they have no case for.

Sheriff Finch of course told them no way and asked for a jury trial. Trial date is set for October 1st IF it makes it that far. His attorney has filed motions for dismissal and the state can still decide to drop this ridiculous case.

It is important to KEEP CONTACTING the officials in Tallahassee and let them know that enough is ENOUGH!

This man fought for us in Desert Storm and is fighting for us now......help him fight back!

All law enforcement officers and state officials are compelled to obey and defend the Constitution, its case law, and the decisions of Federal courts.

Constitutional Sheriffs sent an email stating, “I have added the names of the following 61 Florida County Sheriffs [who] joined the previous six Florida County Sheriffs to announce that they will not enforce laws that violate the Constitution or infringe on the rights of the people to own firearms.”

Only the Federal judiciary can determine what laws are offensive to the Constitution or infringe upon the rights of the people. See: Cooper v. Aaron (1958).

Thats very interesting:

Reports: Pennsylvania AG Will Refuse To Defend State's Marriage Law Against ACLU's Pro-Gay Marriage Suit

Pennsylvania attorney general Kathleen Kane will not defend the state in a federal lawsuit filed this week challenging the constitutionality of the state’s ban on same-sex marriage, lawyers involved in the case said.
The American Civil Liberties Union filed suit Tuesday on behalf of 23 Pennsylvania residents, including 10 couples, a widow and two children. The Philadelphia Daily News first reported Kane’s decision, which she is expected to announce Thursday.

According to Pennsylvania law, the Attorney General does not have any discretion in which laws he or she has to defend (pdf).
(3) It shall be the duty of the Attorney General to
uphold and defend the constitutionality of all statutes so as to prevent their suspension or abrogation in the absence of a controlling decision by a court of competent jurisdiction.
