Americans Are More Radicalized Than Ever

Common sense.
You make something legal and readily available more people are going to try it therefore more people will become addicted.
It ain't rocket science.
So the only thing stopping you from taking drugs are the laws against them?

Nope.
I wised up after seeing the damage it did to friends and their families.
Had a buddy named Pete, his wife died at 39 from opioid abuse. A year later he died of a heart attack abusing cocaine leaving three kids behind that went into foster homes.

There is nothing good that comes from drug abuse.

Only because of the right wing. We get to "blame the right wing" in our All of our history books.

The whole and entire Problem is, that the right wing refuses to help out with better solutions at lower cost. Socialism on a national basis and gunboat diplomacy is what they do best. We have a general welfare clause not a general warfare clause.

Nothing but repeal and "rudderless" tax cut economics is their actual policy.

ending the drug war could help generate revenue to pay for social services; only lousy capitalists lose money on public policy.

Or deadbeat drug users could get a job and pay taxes.

The increasingly radicalized populace is likely a response to the crisis of liberal democracy, capitalism, etc.

I’m not going to paste a bunch of stuff from this article as I think the title says it all.

There is no more middle ground in Washington and many other places across the country.

And, as Limbaugh said recently, if the Dims lose in November, things will only get worse.

Politicians getting death threats.

Gruesome threats to the families of politicians – once taboo here.

Local authorities losing control of their streets and neighborhoods to paid demonstrators.

Communities declaring their disobedience to the law.

Is the country literally “spiraling toward civil war?”

Huh?

Funding our defense is specifically enumerated in the constitution. Pretty sure the founders would have been laughing at how pathetic we are now with all of our worthless govt programs.....probably even more so laughing at people who have construed welfare in the constitution to somehow equating to endless trinkets and freebies for all.
defense is not offense; and the power to provide for the general welfare is not to provide for the general warfare.

So who's going to pay for all the overdose hospitalization?
And the myriad of other problems drug abuse/addiction causes.
don't believe in capitalism? Prohibition is not capitalism.

Neither is murder for hire.

I dont see how decriminalization is going to help with the opioid problem.
Black racketeering by violent criminal gangs will dry up, for one thing.....ODs will become nearly unheard of.

BTW, the opioid problem is almost exclusively caused by the synthetic drugs peddled by BigPharm.

Yeah...but I still dont see how making the drugs readily available is going to help the problem.
And why would ODs go down?
Prohibition is worse.

So, the laws weren't what stopped you, but everyone else is too stupid to make their own decisions?

Alright then.
I'll go for it if the drug users receive no medical care on the taxpayers dime when they OD.
Also the families of the dope head get no gov assistance when mom or dad drop dead from an OD.

I'm not going to work overtime to pay the bills of deadbeat mooching losers. If they get hungry enough they will find work.

If there's any radicalization, it's the rea;ization we've been 'had' by the powers that be

as such, is there any reason to take this out on one's fellow man?

Isn't that what they'd want thefocus to be?

seriously, we need aother Bastille day

the could be doing something more productive, with unemployment compensation for simply being unemployed.
