Republicans tried making slavery a constitutional right-The Corwin Amendment
Republicans ended Reconstruction-The 1877 Compromise
Republicans tried purging blacks from the party after Reconstruction-The Lily White Movement.

Yes it is real. I guess it's considered a victory for Trump to sit in a room full of whites in a black church, or for him to insult blacks at a convention of black people.
