Liberals were on the side of “free speech” when it was about pornography and obscenity. To them, that's what “free speech” has always been about. They've never particularly been champions of genuine free speech, as applied to the right to hold and express opinions with which they disagree; and in recent years, they've become overtly hostile to it.

Yeah, as long as the speech is harming American culture, society, burning the flag, demoralizing our military and so forth, they are all for it.

The common thread of course is that if it is bad for America then they are for it.

They're far more hateful than those they so loathe.

This is what happens when intolerance is enabled and promoted on college campuses.

I don't know how this happened. I think colleges have always leaned solidly to the Left, but most of that is just the nature of being young.

But somewhere along the line, this whole thing became weaponized and protected, and they've gotten away with it.

I don't care how important politics is to someone; you don't do this to young minds, you just don't.
