I have a close one that we always get into arguments, the arguments are usually started by him spewing some far rightwing nonesense, followed by me correcting him w/facts. Then he starts screaming "I don't want to talk about it any more!!" And me then laughing at him and saying, "Well don't bring it up then."They'd laugh about it just as I'd laugh about theirs.
Good friends are hard to find and these folks are good friends.
How many Republican friends do you have.??
I'll bet not one because you sure as shit wouldn't like what they have to say.
He's poor guy, lives off the government dole, but talks and acts like he's in the 1 percent.
He's a good brother though, he's an independent missionary.
Another brother, I'm doing business with. We don't usually start talking about it, because we already had that discussion when we first met, and no one brings it up, for the most part.
I can defend my own with anyone who comes at me with rightwing nonsense. USMB keeps me sharp for the real world.
I've convinced a youngster, Uber driver, to get off the Republican plantation recently, felt good when I heard him say "I never quite thought about it like that."
I'm smiling now thinking about it.
