NY Governor Andrew Cuomo is sending a proposal to Legislators that if passed would give the State of New York unprecedented and quite possibly unconstitutional ( US) powers.
Cuomo wants to essentially give himself the power to reach across state lines and loot the finances of companies that HE says short changed workers based on worker and very likely labor union leadership complaints. The would enable The State to slap judgments against said companies without Due Process of law.
In other words, the assumption is made that if a company for example goes bankrupt, the sole purpose of said bankruptcy was to avoid paying former employees. The law also places the burden of proof on the company.
That the company must prove a negative.
This is an outrageous over reach and is purely political. Cuomo's proposal should be DOA
EXCLUSIVE: Cuomo wage theft bill to target out-of-state companies
Now those on the pro labor left will respond with all kinds of reasons why this should become law based on personal anecdotal experiences or because they too believe that all business owners are scoundrels who seek to reap profits while paying employees as little as possible.
They will shriek and obfuscate. They will deflect and deny. They will evoke buzz terms such as "CEO". "Wealthy". "Wall Street", "fat cat", etc. They may even post comments cheering the closure of a business "because profit is evil".....
At the end of the day, if a state government continues to act in an anti business manner, it will become the eventual loser as business owners will avoid said state while others contemplating leaving said state will hasten plans to do so.
The best path is to have a balance between the interests of labor and business. To toss politics aside and work together for mutual benefit.

Cool, how much will Trump need to pay?

More redistribution bullshit from a liberal swine.

Come the 20th time to put Cuomo in Trumps political crosshairs to help neuter, undermine any such shenanigans.

I guess it depends on the direction "redistribution" of wealth goes. If it goes to the business or industry it is fine, legal and moral, and if go esto the worker is it wrong, illegal and immoral.

Trump can add me to his enemies list; as one of the obsequious, your ass kissing may qualify you as a member of his cabinet.
