Another founding father bites the dust, Thomas Jefferson

People who actually do read history books had a problem with his legacy of slavery. Why do you care? Are you another one who thinks statues are history?
What does it mean to "have a problem with his legacy of slavery?" Is there anyone on this earth who doesn't object to slavery? However, in Jefferson's say, slavery was normal and socially acceptable.

No, but I certainly would like to hear an explanation for removing the statue, if it is unimportant.

Many read history books that ONLY say he had slaves and COMPLETELY IGNORE his position on slavery, including a complete whitewash on the 1807 Slave Trade Act, which was the first and only proper legislative/executive action to end the slave trade.

Why would those history books exclude the 1807 Slave Trade Act as part of Jefferson's legacy?

Why would history books ignore the paragraph authored by Jefferson that was excluded from the Declaration of Independence, which reads as follows:

"He has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life & liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither. This piratical warfare, the opprobrium of infidel powers, is the warfare of the Christian King of Great Britain. Determined to keep open a market where Men should be bought & sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or restrain this execrable commerce. And that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is now exciting those very people to rise in arms among us, and to purchase that liberty of which he has deprived them, by murdering the people on whom he has obtruded them: thus paying off former crimes committed again the Liberties of one people, with crimes which he urges them to commit against the lives of another."

There's more here, which always seems to be de-emphasized or outright EXCLUDED from current history books:

Throughout his entire life, Thomas Jefferson was publicly a consistent opponent of slavery. Calling it a “moral depravity”1 and a “hideous blot,”2 he believed that slavery presented the greatest threat to the survival of the new American nation.3 Jefferson also thought that slavery was contrary to the laws of nature, which decreed that everyone had a right to personal liberty.4 These views were radical in a world where unfree labor was the norm.

At the time of the American Revolution, Jefferson was actively involved in legislation that he hoped would result in slavery’s abolition.5 In 1778, he drafted a Virginia law that prohibited the importation of enslaved Africans.6 In 1784, he proposed an ordinance that would ban slavery in the Northwest territories.7 But Jefferson always maintained that the decision to emancipate slaves would have to be part of a democratic process; abolition would be stymied until slaveowners consented to free their human property together in a large-scale act of emancipation. To Jefferson, it was anti-democratic and contrary to the principles of the American Revolution for the federal government to enact abolition or for only a few planters to free their slaves.8

Why would that be excluded?

You know the fucking answer, but you will continue to deny the real motives behind the attempts to erase Jefferson from our founding.

Racist motherfucker.
Aww boo hoo. I thought that word didn't mean anything. Lol.
The part that says the capitol police can jail people indefinitely.
Which part? Have a link or you just pulling it out of your ass?
:laughing0301: Your ignorant ass ain't forcing SHIT. Take your pathetic threats of violence elsewhere, you retarded fuck.
We're forcing all sorts of political, demographic and social changes on you and you're the ones threatening violence with words like lock and load but we both know you're too pussy to ever do anything about the changes we're forcing down your throat. Lol.
There's a difference between being tough and being sleazy.
And there's a difference between white wing talk and reality.
Except nearly all of you lie your asses of, to get away with your actions. NOne of you are honest about what you are up to.

That is you being cowards.
I've actually been pretty forth right. We mean to change your country politically, demographically and culturally and there's fuck all you can do about it. You don't have the numbers or cultural cache.
If you had balls, you would be honest about why you are doing it, and drop the whiny faggot bullshit about the Civil War, or Slavery and just have teh balls to admit that it is about you showing who is boss.
No, it's actually about progressive policy rubbing your face in who's boss is just the cherry on top.
The only place I see ANY of you talk like you are doing now, is online, when you can get someone riled up and maybe get him banned.
Then you must not be listening to many progressives.
That is how "Brave" you are. YOu talk shit only online, and in the goal of getting people who call you on your bullshit, banned.
No that's strategy. Reinforcing the notion that you're mutants and morons, that you're deplorables, is useful for pushing political and cultural change.
Because you are AFRAID of their words.
Your words are what we use to hang you, why would we be afraid of them? Lol.

OMG
Our current society, by an unfortunately big margin, will support this, while also supporting erections of george floyd who was a criminal.
Its a shame.
CHINA NUKE US NOW

like what?

Be specific, you cocksucking moron.
Well we forced black and brown immigrants on you for so long that mixed race individuals are the fastest growing demographic while the white population is shrinking. And we pushed multiculturalism while reinforcing at the same time the notion that your history and culture is deplorable and shameful by forcing you to remove cultural icons in disgrace. This is called propaganda you dumb cuck. It helped us turn an entire generation of your children into culturally and sexually open minded progressives. Lol.

And who is boss? Do tell.

And what of the "progressive policy" do you speak?
In this thread we're talking about shaming Jefferson and the bosses that did it were a coalition of Blacks, Latinos and Asians. It's almost as if being overtly racist in a growing multicultural society is politically counter-intuitive. Lol.

Man, you wish you were white, don't you?

I understand. Who wouldn't want to be white?

:laughing0301:

Fuck off, troll.

This is a lie.

“The New York City Public Design Commission voted unanimously to move the statue to a public location…” ibid

The statue is simply being relocated to a more appropriate venue.

Clearly there’s no end to the dishonesty and lies of conservatives.
Clearly, there is no denying that Jefferson is a target for the commie left because they hate his stance of limited government. Slavery has NOTHING to do with it.

You people should pick your battles better.

Say, I wonder what they're teaching in college these days that leftists completely miss the historical end of things, the warnings, historical operations leading to the worst of societies and so forth? Perhaps they're educated and like things this way? Hmm!

Well Thomas Jefferson is offensive, someone bitched and complained. We're going to consistently bow to the lowest common denominators in order to meet them, an essential piece of left-run operations.

Stand up & cast the first stone MFers. Oh that's right, leftists are righteous. Everyday is opposite day in PROG.

RELEVANT entries, written in 1963:: 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32,

That's fucked up. These idiots don't even know Jefferson was a progressive.
