PHOENIX (AP) — Five adults were found dead inside a north Phoenix home after a shooting Thursday in a suspected dispute about the family's business, police said.

The names and ages of the three men and two women weren't immediately released. But police said the three men were brothers and the dead women apparently were the men's mother and a spouse of one of the brothers.

Two other women and two children managed to escape the home unharmed, according to police.

Thank God the children escaped.

No.....that is wrong...guns are designed to save the life of the user....and in the majority of uses they are never fired.......54% of defensive gun uses are completed without even pulling the trigger and as you gun nut jobs point out.....in 1.6 million defensive gun uses....only 238 violent criminals are actually killed...

I would say that guns are saving a lot of lives without taking lives........

When you "save lives" by taking out a threat -- whether that's in a war, a crime, or a personal encounter -- you're committing a counteroffensive. That's a counterattack, not a "defense". It's still destructive force as opposed to constructive. You're basically fighting a small-scale war that you hope you win.

War represents, and will always represent, the ultimate human abject failure. Strutting around with a firearm for "defense" is the personal equivalent of an MIC arming its nation to the teeth. There's no way out of that morass. It's a dead end.

It isn't a bogus number....it is a number averaged from 16 different studies of guns used in self defense, by both private and public researchers over a 40 year period, one of the studies done by the clinton Justice Dept. ( found 1.5 million defensive gun uses a year) and one done by the obama CDC in 2013 using 10 million dollars ( found the numbers ranged between 500,000-3 million a year) and the lowest number in any of the studies was 760,000 defensive gun uses each year

So, the lowest studies...multiple studies on the low end, found 760,000 defensive gun uses a year

17,000 non fatal gun accidents + 8-9,000 gun murders + 6-700 fatal gun accidents = 9,600 gun fatalities each year and 17,000 non fatal gun accidents

vs. 760,000 defensive gun uses.....

Now....those are the numbers on the low side of the 16 different studies.....when you average all of them....the average is 1.6 million times a year......

Which numbers are bigger..........
