That verse really hits home. Cause divisions. I mean Trump has been doing just that since the day he took office. He has stoked the fires of division. What kind of leader does that? I mean imagine, you just got promoted to a leadership position. It was a heated contest between you and someone else. Do you fan the fires of division as you take the reins of your new job? How is that going to work for productivity, innovation, and employee turnover? I mean the only real explanation for such behavior is a leader that is so insecure that they feel they have to sow the seeds of animosity, they have to divide and conquer.
And that scenario is exactly what has played out. Our productivity has went to absolute shit, economy is torn to shreds. Rioting in the streets of our city, and the ignorant Republicans want to blame that on leadership. Trump is a disgrace, "The Buck Stops Here", or so Truman said. But not Trump, the Buck never stops at his desk. It is always someone else's fault, even losing the election. He got cheated.
I mean how damn sad. How damn lame. Hell, I waited tables to put myself through school and I don't mind bragging. Five years and I never wrote down a thing. I could take the order of a party of 20 and spin around and put a six top right behind it. Full service, drinks, special requests. That was almost 30 years ago, and I can still walk into a white tablecloth restaurant almost anywhere in the state and be instantly recognized. In a word, I was the best. The point, well it was never the kitchen's fault, it was never the hostess' fault. It was always my fault. Steak overcooked, my fault, I should have checked it better before I bought it out. Had to wait too long for your meal. My fault, I should have pushed the kitchen. First rule of serving, you ALWAYS take responsibility. You take OWNERSHIP, it is a big buzz word in business now. And that means owning the failures as well as the mistakes. I just don't understand why people actually respect the tiny little man. He might be tall, and he sure as hell is heavy, but he is a tiny, tiny man.
And obstacles, honestly, that is what makes this whole fiasco about election fraud so surreal. For years the Republican party has created as many obstacles as possible to voting. Like Texas, limiting collection spots to one per county. Reducing the period of early voting in state after state. And those reductions, not even a little subtle, attempts to minimize the ability of people of color to vote. Honestly, pretty damn close to the black codes. Or kicking people off the voter rolls for not voting in previous elections. It happened in state after state. Now, the primary component of every single Trump lawsuit, too many people voted. Counting absentee ballots, oh they should be in by election day, not postmarked by election day. Cutting funding to the postal service for the very reason to delay those absentee ballots. I mean hello?
I can assure you of this much. Were we in 1792, Trump's ass would have already been removed from the Whitehouse. His fat ass would have been tarred and feathered and he would have been escorted out of New York City on a damn rail. Had he been in North Carolina in 1765, as governor, he would not have survived the winter. Those that support his actions today are an insult to the patriots that founded this nation, let alone an insult to intelligence. He is a disgrace, and as I have said in this thread already, history will judge him, and his supporters, more harshly than any individual, or group, in American history, including the know nothings.
