This is a very sad thread..I do not think that the crazies have thought this through.
It is statistically probable that a lot of these kids they are protecting will be Gay. Perhaps reading these books may help them understand their sexuality better.
It may also help their classmates understand them better.
That empathy thing.
And lead to a happier and more contented society.Which is what normal folk want.
These protectors seem to be the worst kind of fascists. Dictating to everyone.
Their starting point is that Gays are bad. That is not acceptable in a modern caring society.
Parents would decide what is age appropriate not gun toting imbeciles. Kids develop at different ages and brighter kids require more challenging books than stupid kids.Sooooo.....alllowing under age children to read about other underage children engaging in sex acts with each other and adults is helping them to understand their sexuality and not grooming them?
That is what you believe?
Parents would decide what is age appropriate not gun toting imbeciles. Kids develop at different ages and brighter kids require more challenging books than stupid kids.
When I was 11 I was reading I Claudius. It would have been too muh for other kids my age.
Cool story.
Oh, they are still doing that. There was a story about it in the Journal just a couple weeks ago. Sort of sad; shows nobody "gets" Huckleberry Finn.I remember the left wanting to ban Mark Twain
It doesn't "represent" Mark Twain, but there is no question, the N-word IS crucial to some of Twain's work, most especially Huckleberry Finn. Also Tom Sawyer. If you don't know why, I would suspect you didn't read these books, or understand them. There is a reason Mark Twain is perhaps the greatest American writer, and by a long way.Its funny how folks like you think removing the word "N*ggr" from a Mark Twain book somehow means Mark Twain himself was removed...
It's almost like according to you folks, there is no Mark Twain if there is no N-word....funny that is what you think represents Mark Twain.....
Ok, so do you have a link showing books like that being pushed on children?Me….no, leftists pushing those books for kids…..several threads on these books and the school boards allowing them in schools and leftists running local libraries who also stock those books
Ok, so do you have a link showing books like that being pushed on children?
So why would the Marxist try to ban the book?Jim is the hero of Huck Finn. Its moral compass. It doesnt show him in a bad light and Twain was on his side.
You are right, inner city blacks who shoot up young children should not be having children read in appropriate books.Parents would decide what is age appropriate not gun toting imbeciles. Kids develop at different ages and brighter kids require more challenging books than stupid kids.
When I was 11 I was reading I Claudius. It would have been too muh for other kids my age.
...and again, the books mentioned covered a variety of topics from climate change to the occult--most were any that were deemed as 'Gay'. Some were what you would call, erroneously, CRT.So....again......the books mentioned before actually depicted children having sex with other children and adults....those books are okay with you? The public should pay for those books to be in libraries both public and in schools?
Be brave, answer the question.....
However..again..this thread is not about schools...it is about a public library where not one of those books is carried..what do you think about THAT, eh?I have shown video clips of parents reading those exact books to school boards from their children's school libraries.......in various threads here on U.S.messageboard...
So post it.I have shown video clips of parents reading those exact books to school boards from their children's school libraries.......in various threads here on U.S.messageboard...
So...you have some proof of this...right?Except school and public libraries are stocked with books too obscene to read aloud at school board meetings and such. Yet morons like you can't see a problem. Go figure.
Triggered you did it? Trauma be like that..as i said..counseling should help~
Good grief, you're nothing but a living talking point.Benjamin Franklin disagrees....

Conservatives are so devoid of actual policies that are popular and offer real solutions -- they have consistently resorted to scraping the barrel to manfufacture fake culture war bullshit.... and now, they are so desperate that now, they are attacking libraries...fucking libraries....
