This is a modernism vignette involving Kitana and Mileena (two female warriors from Mortal Kombat video-games) squaring-off with Cobra Commander and Leatherface (two folk-avatars from comics/cinema representing anarchy) about toxic-waste.

It's inspired of course by The Toxic Avenger.

Has industrialization changed the way we talk about American political sarcasm?

Signing off,

Kitana and Mileena had arrived from Outworld to Earth and began investigating how humanity's industrialization-arrogance led to all kinds of toxic-waste concerns. Kitana and Mileena were sisters and perfect warriors, though they fought very differently (Kitana was much more chivalrous than her unusual sister!). Kitana and Mileena realized that mankind on Earth was very preoccupied with all kinds of bravado and fortune-hunting ambitions. Mankind's avatars were not kind child-like angels but rather warlike pirates and hellraisers such as Cobra Commander (a Machiavellian guerrilla-warfare mastermind) and Leatherface (a cop-killing demon). Kitana and Mileena knew that if toxic-waste was to be eradicated, avatars such as Cobra Commander and Leatherface would have to be 'neutralized' so they used their magical guidance-force (the Oracle) to engage with Cobra Commander and Leatherface.

KITANA: America is the supreme nation and hence 'Big Brother.'
COBRA COMMANDER: Are you implying America is the first government?

MILEENA: You can't forward democracy on Earth without America!
LEATHERFACE: Supreme power...

KITANA: Wall Street and IBM are hallmarks of capitalism...
LEATHERFACE: Dirty money!

MILEENA: We have to coordinate power with hygiene.
COBRA COMMANDER: NASDAQ!

KITANA: Maybe the EPA and the FDA are modern trophies.
COBRA COMMANDER: Is Wal-Mart creative?

MILEENA: I like Starbucks but am concerned about cholesterol.
LEATHERFACE: McMoney!

KITANA: Do you like American movies?
LEATHERFACE: Woo!!!

MILEENA: Let's design a capitalism-game...
COBRA COMMANDER: How about Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?(?)

KITANA: I prefer Wheel of Fortune.
COBRA COMMANDER: Americans like to gamble!

MILEENA: Toxic-waste is the scar on modernism.
LEATHERFACE: Pollution...

KITANA: We have to bring the axe down on corporate greed.
LEATHERFACE: Axe body-spray/fragrance...

MILEENA: Yes, consumerism is rather fun (but also wasteful).
COBRA COMMANDER: The FDA and the EPA are very symbolic!

KITANA: The Toxic Avenger is an important film.
COBRA COMMANDER: We'll consider the value of caffeine-hygiene.

MILEENA: Can we balance capitalism with the British Parliament?
LEATHERFACE: Nerds!

KITANA: Never decapitate the elders of the good government.
LEATHERFACE: Heroes...

MILEENA: We've resolved the problem of teamwork-oriented ambition.
COBRA COMMANDER: The UN will have to work with the EPA.

After their engagement ended, Kitana and Mileena parted ways with Cobra Commander and Leatherface, and they were all satisfied that their discussion yielded valuable insights regarding the complications of industrialization and capitalism and why toxic-waste was such a 'modernism malady.' Kitana and Mileena returned to Outworld and reported to the Oracle that if mankind did not check its own corporate ugliness, it would be swallowed-up by the anarchy and waste-delinquency ominously 'advertised' by terrorism-related avatars such as Cobra Commader and Leatherface. Kitana and Mileena wondered if Jesus Christ would return at the End of Days to restore a 'policed peace' to Earth.
