AZ passes law saying life beings pre-conception

You don't need black vans. Pimps, human traffickers, and abusers round them up and drag them in there for you. With the express support of idiots like you.

so what. you are talking about private citizens. this discussion is about governmental action.

Yeah, it's happening ALL the time. Normal everyday women bring dragged against their from their quiet suburban neighborhood to these dens of death.

You seriously need an intervention.

No, that's not what I said at all.

Legalized abortion was forced upon a resistant majority via RvW, a bad law.

Abortion was forced upon us...the people, by a few judges who believed in population management and overrode the will of the people to make sure babies could legally be killed.

If the population doesnt want abortions, they dont have to have one. theres no black vans driving around grabbing pregnant women off the street or dragging them screaming from their homes and carting them off to have forced abortions. Youre a nutjob. Seek professional help immediately. I'm completely serious. You are more than a little :cuckoo: and a whole lot of  now :eusa_shhh:

The problem is the children that have no voice or protection....now liberals want to kill babies that are "inferior" wow....

After-Birth Abortion: The pro-choice case for infanticide. - Slate Magazine

If they start "after birth abortions" I'll march down there with you, side by side, and put an end to it. Until then, it's fruitcake nutjobs spouting off because they lack the proper medications.

Is it the claim of Democratic Underground that Arizona has outlawed the holy sacrament of abortion?

How would that be possible? Abortion on demand is federal law, dictated by the unelected rulers in the SCOTUS. States cannot overturn laws dictated by our judicial rulers.

Well, of the issue is that nothing DailyBeast and other hate sites post is actually true. Roe V. Wade is still the "law of the land," exactly as when Blackmun declared it law without the hassle of legislation, ratification, or executive signing.

But the Arizona law outlaws the most sacred and holy abortion after 20 weeks, right? Nope, Roe V. Wade does that. Don't worry, it was always as farce and continues to be. The abortionist being paid $10,000 simply needs to say it is a medical necessity. Since the payment on his yacht is a necessity, no worries there.

Yes, if might put a damper on 38th week infanticide of the style Tiller was known for, since independent review is permitted for very late term kills. But for first and second trimester kills, it's business as usual, save that gestational age sets the markers back two weeks.

Here's how it works. Media Matters or Move-On or some other left wing tax exempt research organization dedicated to getting democrats elected is constantly on the lookout for stuff like this. The stories are printed on left wing blog sites or appear as opinion editorials in the mulch media. The hate mongers on the left swallow the story without thinking and pretend to be outraged. The truth of the Arizona abortion litigation concerns the age, if you will, of the unborn child about to be killed. You have to start somewhere and Arizona decided on a standard to gauge the length of pregnancy. Let it go and see how it works lefties you can't stay hysterical for ever.

you mean we shouldn't have a discussion about how the rightwingers are trying to divest women of already settled rights?

lol...

Fetal viability is rightfully defined by medical professionals, not legislators.

Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 case legalizing abortion, made fetal viability an important legal concept. The Supreme Court ruled that states cannot put the interests of a fetus ahead of the interests of the pregnant woman until the fetus is "viable." The court defined viable to mean capable of prolonged life outside the mother's womb.

Not just some of them, all of them. The hate sites all blast the same propaganda to the mindless drones, who come here and repeat it.

Someone like Jillian has no ability to grasp the concepts at work or form an opinion, they just recite what the hate sites say.

When have you ever "discussed" anything?

You recite what the hate sites program you to recite. Actual discussion requires intellect, which you sorely lack.

Even without a direct assault on Roe through the Supreme Court, the cost to states to defend abortion restrictions can run high. Kansas, for example, has spent nearly $400,000 in legal bills in six months defending new laws to restrict abortion this year, according to the Kansas attorney general's office. Of the total, $237,834 were spent on private lawyers defending efforts to strip Planned Parenthood of federal family planning funds.

Planned Parenthood was paid $623,000 in fees by South Dakota resulting from two challenges to abortion laws over a decade. This did not count the state's own attorney hours and resources, according to Jennifer O. Aulwes, spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota.

Reality check: States tough on abortion face legal costs | Reuters

The state workforce has shrunk 15 percent - a loss of 5,610 jobs.

The most-recent cuts took effect this summer as the fiscal 2012 budget year began. Most notably, the state froze enrollment in a health-insurance program for childless adults as part of a bid to save $500 million in state spending. Like many budget moves, it triggered a lawsuit.

Arizona budget slashing reshapes state

Let's forget for a moment the Constitutional question's which will no doubt be raised by HB2036. These kinds of bills which are the result of lobbying by faith based groups such as the Center for Arizona Policy cost the Arizona tax payers millions , not only in direct revenue for the costs that will be needed to defend them. As the Center for Arizona Policy and those that support it will no doubt lend the state the needed funds to defend it but rather sit back and let the tax payers foot the bill for their beliefs, they will also stand by and let the Arizona economy suffer for the very same thing. The bottom line here is this, these kinds of bills are costly not only to the state but also the people in general and server to accomplish little other than to make people choose sides on what is a moral issue best left for the hearts and minds of the individual. Again, if this bills purpose had been to protect Mothers then it would have done so rather than have language in it that is specific to the belief structure to a few religions.

you get no argument from me. i think these decisions should be between a woman and her doctor and a woman and her conscience.... they certainly shouldn't be legislated by pretend "small government" types.
