Ban the "B" word!

No. Boys don't get called bossy. There's a difference, you are apparently missing, between being called bossy, and being told you are acting bossy, or bossing someone around. Rather like being told you are bad, instead of having done something bad.
Now I know the campaign is totally effed up.

Bossy adjective
given to ordering people about; overly authoritative; domineering.

Gender neutral 100%

Newp.

"overly authoritative," for a girl.

And you guys know perfectly well that it has been driven home to women through the ages that the above traits are PARTICULARLY unattractive in women, and that anything APPROACHING assertiveness will be labeled "bossy," "uppity," and therefore inappropriate.

Thing is, you'd like to keep it that way.

I've noticed how lot of women in that same class who want to ban the word "bossy" don't mind if they are called "boss" at any point. It's actually quite sad that some women have to ban a word to instill some sense of self confidence or self worth. The saying "actions speak louder than words" would most definitely apply here.

and yet you have a hard time understanding that....that your actions speak louder than your words....but liars normally have a difficult time with that concept.

Or... people can instill a sense of self worth and esteem by insulting someone else. By doing so they only reveal how insecure they themselves are. No need to ban words folks, ban bad attitudes.

I had a black female Bureau Chief as my boss for 22 years. In fact she hired me. I would respond to her at times as 'boss', especially when co-workers were present, and she loved it. Of course, I'd use the term sparingly so as not to be perceived as sucking up to her. But it did remind people of who was in charge.

Meh. I've never heard of men being called bossy.

In fact, I can't think of a single denigrating term for white anglo-saxon protestant male.

Sure you can ...Hetrosexual Christian. You know you and yoour liberal friends hate those words.

Lets just watch what we say, what is wrong with that? Historically the people of Germany watched what they said in public and private, while the Socialist controlled Germany. Further the same can be said about Russia, people were always cautious as to what they said.

I see no problem with governments banning words and people being silenced, what is the harm?

You mean that Right Wing Jew Killing Nazi Bastard Hitler?
