This will play very well in South Carolina with its huge black population. A black population that was supposed to be a firewall for Hillary. The timing of the photo's release is perfect.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This photo is worth thousands of votes. New slogan for Sanders: "When it comes to defending the rights of African-Americans, Clinton talks the talk, I walk the walk."

Good for Bernie...a real American Patriot

Not many times when having a criminal record can be seen as a positive politically but this is one of the few cases when it definitely is a positive.

I wonder how it will play to the millennials. They have no living memory of the Cold War to taint their views on socialism. Just the same, the Civil Rights movement is just another black and white picture out of a history book. What they think is discrimination doesn't hold a candle to fire hoses and police dogs.

I doubt if he has a criminal record

Protesters were usually detained and released

That's like a badge of honor for the Democrat party in this day and age. We should be asking if anybody in the Dem/Socialist party, Hasn't been arrested.
Character/honor doesn't seem to be needed to be in that party.

Millenials don't even know history.

That's a understatement, young people today are stupid...

Boy! Was that ever selective!

AFTER a DEM filibuster

June 10, 1964

"On this day in 1964, Everett Dirksen (R-IL), the Republican Leader in the U.S. Senate, condemned the Democrats’ 57-day filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Leading the Democrats in their opposition to civil rights for African-Americans was Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV). Byrd, who got into politics as a recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan, spoke against the bill for fourteen straight hours. Democrats still called Robert Byrd “the conscience of the Senate.”

In his speech, Senator Dirksen called on the Democrats to end their filibuster and accept racial equality.
