I have noticed something. For decades now, there has been a segment of American society that has been allowed to protest, riot, disrupt, obstruct, and just plain be nuisances to society at large over issues they deem objectionable, all with no repercussions or push back from society. Now, there's push back, and they can't seem to figure out why. It would seem that they desire the freedom to destroy what others have built but really do not wish for anyone to protect what is theirs. This kind of counter protest was easily predicted and, as I noted, will result in death. Quite frankly, I think that protesters who create their own "autonomous" area should be treated as autonomous. If they want walls and to control what comes into their areas, let them have those walls, as long as they understand that the US can also control what passes through those walls, like food and supplies.
