It effects the mind. But its lame in that aspect compared to other drugs or alcohol. Hell, even Tylenol can kill you.

F^ck stains who tout pot legalization do not realize that in those states that have legalized pot give auto insurance companies just another reason to raise rates. After Jan. 1st, pot is now legal in Nevada since the F^ckstains here voted so, and we already pay the 5th highest car Ins. rates due to being a booze-ridden 24 hr. casino city.

F^ck you f^ckstains that are for legalizing it!!!
my ins co. told me the rates are high here (Nv) because of the high incidences of car thefts....which they said was 3rd highest in country.....

I think perhaps you were drunk when you posted.
Car insurance rates by state: Most and least expensive
What are the states that have legalized pot?
Oregon- 26th highest auto insurance rates
Washington- 33d highest auto insurance rates
Colorado- 16th highest auto insurance rates.

None of the states with legal recreational pot are even in the top 10 of the most expensive states

Generally paranoid, it's not that uncommon.

Speaking for myself, while I used a considerable amount of marijuana in the seventies I can't say I recall experiencing any feelings of paranoia -- either while under the influence or not. But I do recall some others mentioning paranoid feelings after (or during) smoking pot. As I recall it was said jokingly by them, but your comment about quitting entirely suggests something quite serious. If you would describe some of the paranoid affect you experienced I would be seriously interested in reading about it.

Everything I'm able to Google up thus far suggests this paranoid experience affects some users but not all and those who do report on the experience suggest it is temporary and superficial rather than serious and disturbing.

If your experience was sufficient to cause total abstinence I would call that serious.

Do you know anyone else who was similarly affected?

I agree. Overindulgence is and always has been a serious problem where marijuana is concerned. And the reason for this overindulgence is the direct result of marijuana prohibition.

The effect of forcing marijuana underground, along with the associated falsified propaganda, have resulted in widespread and extreme ignorance about the real nature of this benign intoxicant, its benefits, its potentially negative effects, and how to most safely and productively make use of it. The prevailing consequence of this egregiously managed prohibition is the vast majority of marijuana use involves buying a bootleg quantity, which means complete ignorance of potency and potential contamination, rolling a joint -- and smoking the whole thing.

This situation is comparable to that of booze during the era of alcohol Prohibition when there was no way to know the potency or quality of the "hooch" sold by the average bootlegger, the consequence of which was a great deal of sickness and death. The effect of legalization has been the ability to know the potency (proof level) and purity of the wine, whiskey or beer one buys. While drinking alcohol is, under the safest circumstances, potentially very harmful, the circumstances created by Prohibition made it infinitely more harmful.

Legalization of marijuana eventually will produce a number of extremely positive effects, beginning with awareness of potency and assurance of purity of available marijuana products, ranging from ordinary leaf and bud to a broad variety of edibles. Equally important will be the availability of reliable information on the proper use of each of these products.

Haven't a clue nor do I care, it was enough that it no longer made me feel euphoric but paranoid, while I was high. I quit and that was the end of it, hell, I quit drinking 25 years ago.

Okay. I'm beginning to form the impression that the paranoia experience from pot smoking is analogous to sickness (or death) some people experience from eating peanuts or using MSG seasoning. It is the result of individual biochemistry.

Because most underground marijuana growers use some type of pesticide or growth-inducing hormone, such as gybarillic acid, it occurs to me that one or more of these chemicals might be responsible for the paranoia experience. But the way to affirm this would depend on observing the experience of one or more users after their use of pot from a variety of sources.

I wouldn't doubt if the Government tainted the shit on purpose. That way they can stake their claims and keep pot either illegal " accept medical", and or so they can make the bs excuse to regulate it heavier in other words take control of it. The Gov, can't keep their greedy hands of anything. These SOB's will sure destroy pot with their genetically engineered bs without a doubt.

Nixon poisoned mexican pot fields with paraquat that was then sold to people in the USA.

The first president to poison the american people. Probably not the last, though.
