They have fish and shrimp farms, manufacture auto parts, mining and aluminum are huge... Plus fertilizer and chemicals in seamless downstream manufacturing. About 9 years ago they added a half million manufacturing jobs.

We used up all our cheap (easy to extract) oil and have been using the cheap oil from around the world. But I'm pretty sure we've always been at or near the top in production numbers by nation.
