Will Americans wake up? Please?

The worst part about seeing negative outcomes occur is being one of the few who called them early, knowing that you would be a lone voice in the wilderness. There are many beyond my pay grade and access who are probably the smartest guys in the room, therefore, they must have called out the consequences of certain policies, Does anyone listen or are we living in the age of "company politics above competence?"

Across the world, President Joe Biden’s foreign policy has ceded ground to enemies of the United States. Now, after decades of development work and hundreds of billions of dollars in aid to Africa, including saving countless lives through PEPFAR, the United States is rapidly losing the continent to warlords, Russian mercenaries and the Chinese Communist Party.

In March, in a massive diplomatic failure, our military was unceremoniously asked to leave Niger. Adding insult to injury, Russian forces have taken over the newly vacated barracks built during the Trump administration to house counter-terror forces. This failure encapsulates how our enemies have taken advantage of U.S. investments in Africa for their own purposes.

When did we "have" Africa?

You have allies,; political connections and interests. These interests keep your safer than if you didn't have them.

Now, if those who don't like America and wish to do harm and they have these allies and political connections, you can be harmed, either economically or worse.

If your so-called "allies, political connections and interests" don't want you anymore than you have to move on. The only ones who own Africa are the Africans.
