"With tighter border controls, the cheap immigrant labor is missing"? What country are you referring to? You can't possibly mean the US with a quarter of a MILLION illegals funneling in every month. And besides that, you are missing the enormous costs that each illegal immigrant represents, both short term and long term. And the resources desperately needed by America's poor are being sucked up by this massive influx of people who are even more poor and more desperate. But for some reason, they get priority over American citizens. I can go on, but maybe this helps you see the broader picture.

Houses using strictly domestic labor are twice to triple the cost for the same size home. And nobody pays for it....everyone wants a good deal when buying a home...because they want to sell it at some point in the future.
