Can it be they are stupid enough to think such obnoxious behavior will affect their cause in a positive way? Why don't they just bust a few windows and spray-paint some cars? That will really attract attention.

If they entered those restaurants quietly, politely apologized for the interruption, distributed some brief, descriptive brochures outlining their grievance and promptly exited, that might have some level of positive effect. But what they've done is behave like a bunch of in-your-face n!ggers.
