BLM founder sentenced to 6 years for illegally voting.

I think you better read my link in addition to the OP. The judge said she lied to the probation board and that she was no longer on probation and asked if she could vote. They didn't check her records and signed her off as being able to register. She knew when she was sentenced she couldn't vote for seven years. She was the founder of BLM in Tennessee. She wanted to run for Mayor but couldn't because of probation. So we're not talking about a complete dummy here. She intentionally broke the law.

She CAN'T lie to the probation board.
The whole point of a probation board is to supervise those on probation.
They don't ask someone if they are still on probation or not, but look it up and tell the person if they are on probation or not.

And none of that changes the fact is is inherently ILLEGAL to prevent anyone paying taxes from voting.
There is absolutely no way to make it illegal.
No one has that authority.

In states that prohibit felons from voting, it's part of the penalty when you break the law and become a felon. Of course they can do it.

That is not legal.
That is no way states can legally prevent a tax payer from voting.
The legislators who think they can, are the real criminals.
Where would legislators get the authority to commit taxation without representation?
Nowhere.

You really are stupid. Felons lose many constitutional rights, right to bear arms, vote among them.

That is stupid.
The constitution does NOT give any rights at all.
They are pre-existing, and can NOT ever be removed arbitrarily.

Nor does any legislator have the authority to remove the inherent right to vote.
Taxation without representation is an inherent crime.
No one paying taxes can be deprived of the inherent right to vote.

Clearly she did nothing wrong or illegal.

{...
However, the officials who signed off on the application admitted they made an error when they said her probation was over, the Washington Post reported.

...

"I did not falsify anything. All I did was try to get my rights to vote back the way the people at the election commission told me and the way the clerk did," she said at the hearing.

...}

The probation officials were the ones who made the mistake.
She was just doing what she was told to do.

The Constitution does not give Rights?
You must be a teacher.

Sorry to break it to you, but it does.
And SCOTUS agrees felons can lose Rights.

Wrong.
If the rights did not already exist, you can't write a constitution.
That is the whole basis of a democratic republic, that rights pre-exist, are inherent, and they authorize rebellions against tyranny and to create a new government.

And the SCOTUS had better NOT say felons can lose rights, because then the SCOTUS would be criminals.
What government can do is temporarily restrict rights in order to protect the rights of others.
Government can not take away rights because they are inherent and were not created by government in any way.

And taxation without representation is an absolute crime.
It can never be done, except voluntarily, such as an immigrant.

You heard wrong. She was convicted for attempting to register to vote, after her probation officer certified to her she was eligible.

Once again you are a liar.

And this case after 5 different white men knowingly cast fraudulent votes of their dead relatives, and were only sentenced to probation.

That woman is a political prisoner, and a victim of a violent crime against her.

You be sure to file this story away in that empty space above your shoulders, because you will be paying for it many times over. See you down the road.
White Prog shrews are identical. And Black Prog shews are identical. The grapevine behind the scenes is the reality.

No Rights exist until someone says they exist.
And in her case, says they cease to exist.

It was not her probation officer who informed her she had completed her probation. It was a county clerk who looked up her record. But despite getting a letter from the court stating she was off probation, she knew she was still on probation when she went to register to vote. And keep in mind her past history... she had been convicted in the past for tampering with evidence and forgery, so it sounds like she's a scam artist.

This woman was only trying to register to vote… because she was told by her perils officer that she could… and she gets Six years

Four Magarats got caught actually CASTING illegal votes. Three got suspended sentences and one got 3 days

Anyone see a problem here?
No problem. People who take deals to plead guilty typically get lighter sentences. I recall a case years ago of a 12 year old boy who was facing murder charges for unintentionally killing a 6 year old girl while they were wrestling. The state offered him a plea deal where he would serve 3 years for 2nd degree murder. His mother, a cop, turned it down, causing her son to go to trial. In trial, he was found guilty of 1st degree murder and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.

WRONG!

It is totally and completely illegal to prevent someone who is paying taxes, from voting.
That is "Taxation Without Representation", and had been well established as evil, immoral, and illegal.
You can prevent a prisoner from voting, but NOT someone on probation.
Preventing them from voting is clearly a felony.
You're lying again, Pinocchio. :eusa_liar:

Per the 5th Amendment, the government has the legal authority to restrict rights of convicted felons...

nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law

Legal non-U.S. residents pay taxes and they don't get to vote in federal elections either. You don't know what you're talking about.
