Officer Moynihan is a former U.S. Army Ranger who was honored at the White House for his heroism in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing attacks. The "Top Cop" helped save a transit officer wounded in a gunbattle with the bombers. Last month, he became a gunshot victim when he and other officers in unmarked cars, but with blue lights flashing, stopped the car West was driving.

Black criminal, white officer. Quite a standard story. Except for the fact this time officer got shot in the face before he managed to pull out his gun. All those protecting usual citizens from 'police brutality' should think twice next time before making any further comments. American society is far from perfect, thugs and criminals. Cops can be criminals too but 1) don't blame all cops for someone's mistake and 2) give them a chance to do their job so that you could sleep peacefully.

950? Unjustified would mean charges were made. Can you link me 950 cops charged?

Cops shoot and kill about 1000 a year. Of all races. The majority are clearly justified.

And those cops...make up 0.1% of all cops.

Its such a tiny stat...a college statistics professor would call it irrelevant.

Don't you think more cops are killed in the US by white men simply because America is still 78% white?
