If the D's are going to lose anyhow, why waste the nomination on someone who has a future? The D's might as well stay with Biden as their candidate.

That being said, he should still abdicate immediately as his presence in the WH is an existential threat to the Republic.

That's a very good point, Virginia is a state he cannot afford to lose. I believe it's been since 2004 that a Republican won the state.

Hakeem will lead discussions with House Dems about replacing Biden on Sunday, and Warner will do the same with Senate Dems on Monday.

Biden will be stepping down as soon as they get agreement on the plan, I think.

They have been playing nice and giving BIden time to do it on his own, but time is becoming of the essence.
