*** Breaking *** Donald Trump’s Charity Scandal Is About to Go National
New York could be just the start. Donald Trump’s charity may soon be in hot water in states across the country—part of a long and painful process that could tie up the Republican nominee to the election and beyond.

The trouble began on Monday, when New York’s Attorney General ordered the Trump Foundation to immediately stop fundraising in the state because they had not properly registered to do so. As part of the order, the Trump Foundation will be required to provide detailed financial records about its charitable activities—just three weeks before Election Day. At least four apparent Trump Foundation donors, all New York businessmen, will also be under the microscope.

The Trump Foundation drew the eye of the AG’s office in large part due to a January fundraiser he held which was meant to help veterans. The money collected for the event, which Trump attended in lieu of a Fox News debate, in fact went into his foundation. Only later—and under pressure—was it distributed to veterans’ organizations.
Following that event, a series of investigative stories lifted the lid on the foundation and how it functioned as a kind of piggy bank for its founder’s political interests. In years past, Trump used foundation cash to settle personal legal disputes costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, bought paintings of himself and in one high-profile case gave money to a PAC supporting Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi—an illegal act for which Trump had to pay a $2,500 fine.

So push has finally come to shove.

To make matters worse for the Trump Foundation, the probe may not be limited to New York: Charity experts and lawyers tell The Daily Beast that the attorneys general of other states may soon get involved in a long, drawn-out process.

Trump is most certainly a scammer and a crook!
The Trump foundation is not allowed to solicit public contributions without registering with both federal and state governments. The stated purpose of the foundation is the distribution of funds from Trump book sales. Most of the contributions come from Trump clients such WWE. Some of the distributions are charitable and some are not such as political campaign contributions. Over the years there have been gifts to various people which are probably not charitable. For example there have been campaign contributions to candidates who are investigating Trump university, contribution to organization to settle legal disputes, the purchase of a painting of Trump, purchase of signed football helmets, and various gifts to individuals.

Trump has contributed little to the foundation but rather directs clients to contribute in order to settle bills due thus creating a tax deduction for the client. Trump uses the foundation as means selling services. It is nothing like the Clinton Foundation or Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation.

The irony impaired far left drones and their comments!

A civilian's "charity scandal"? How the hell can a civilian be scandalized by his charity? Trump didn't donate enough tax and he didn't donate enough to charity? Lefties must be desperate.
Well, you left out "....and incredibly stupid."

Just as a point of information:
There was no Donald J Trump charitable foundation until 2016. Prior to that there was a Donald J. Trump Foundation but it was a private foundation. Private foundations are generally used to receive donations from "only one individual, family, or corporation. Private foundations are not required to release to the public details of their activities. Trump distributed the money in the private foundation to various individuals and groups some charitable and some not. He had a number of problems with the IRS due to making non-charitable donations and claiming them as charitable deductions such as political contributions to several state attorney who were investigating Trump University. He also made use of the funds in the private foundation to settle Trump Organization legal disputes. The Donald Trump Foundation is not listed on Charity Watch. It does not publish a stated mission other to make charitable gifts.
