BREAKING: House explodes

GUILFORD, Vt. -

Firefighters are on the scene of a house explosion in Guilford. One person was trapped in the rubble, but crews were able to pull that person out.

Officials say it happened at 33 Great Blue Heron Drive.

A neighbor reported hearing the explosion at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, but didn’t think much of it until they woke up and saw the house was leveled.

Crews from Guilford, Brattleboro, Putney and Keene, New Hampshire, were called to the scene. Vermont State Police are on the scene investigating.

There's no word yet on what caused the explosion.
