We got work to do before the Virginia Senate election this coming November to get shed of dems.

That said I do enjoy the gridlock but we need to unfuck what the dems did to us during the brief time that they held sway.

I thought the dems were going to have kittens when the gop tried rolling back the 45 day in-person early voting period.....45 fucking days at a cost of thousands for counties.

Some small counties like my county were spending over half their voting commission budgets just on that.

I really think you will find Democrats already a majority.

It’s now come down to this. Something that would have been unthinkable even 10 years ago. democRATs have seized control of our education system.

"Booted from her job" = removed by democratically elected senate.

"for defending the Constitution"? What a silly-ass headline. It's not her job.

Now she is free to find another job like anyone else.

Hey, numbskull, ever hear of the oath of office for school boards?
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as ____________________ according to the best of my ability, (so help me God)."

Meh, you're taking this shit too seriously, too literally. That's just a formality, a pledge not to abuse the privileges and powers of public office. Her nomination was blocked, plain and simple. Sorry you don't like it, but win the Senate next time and you can probably confirm whoever you want.

why would you continue to live in a country that you hate?
Exactly.

/——-/ So a sworn oath is meaningless? Just a formality? You’re part of the problem. Article 1 – Abuse of Governmental Office. § 16-10-1. Violation of oath by public officer. Any public officer who willfully and intentionally violates the terms of his oath as prescribed by law shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years.

Calling out Tim Kaine's wife didn't win her any favors but to sit there and claim that slavery was not enshrined in the Constitution just showed a complete ignorance on her part. I guess the 3-5ths compromise was not taught in her American History class in India.

Cool, applying a Georgia statute to a Virginia jurisdiction. How does that work, exactly?

Whatever...

You're applying the statute literally; it's not what you think it is. As a matter of criminal law, a conviction for violating an oath of public office is basically a "catch-all" conviction for what most of us would call corruption, doing patently illegal things in office like bribery or using the office for personal gain.
Here's an example or two from Georgia:

Public officers can violate their oath in a plethora of ways. Some examples of cases where the Court ruled an officer violated their oath include:

There was sufficient evidence to support a conviction of the accused, who had served as a police officer. The officer was accused of abusing his authority in an effort to coerce sexual favors from women who were subject to his arrest and for violating his oath as a public officer. Even though the State did not introduce into evidence the terms of any county rule, ordinance, or regulation; the accused admitted he took an oath requiring him to faithfully observe all rules, orders, and regulations of the police department.

Evidence was sufficient to support a police officer's conviction for violation of oath of office when the officer obtained someone's social security number and provided it to a retail store when she opened up a cell phone account. The Court found that even though the unlawful conduct was not done as part of the officer's official duties, the misuse of access to sensitive information was an abuse of officer's position

The Court found sufficient evidence to support the conviction of a corrections officer for violating the oath of office. A prison inmate testified that the corrections officer asked him what he would pay him to avoid being charged with possession of marijuana by an inmate.

And......some people should go to jail.

"'I just want to find 11,780 votes,'" Raffensperger said Trump told him during a phone call. "I need 11,000 votes, give me a break."

So? What's your point? democRATs always find lost or misplaced votes at the last minute to swing elections.
