Breaking: Trump Announces He Would Consider Halting U.S. Oil Purchases From Saudi Arabia

I say let the oil flow freely between all nations and Trump is way off base if he said that. I do not want to buy and whip a mule to cart my butt up and down the road.

That should have been done right after 9/11.
"America is one of the world's largest oil producers, and close to 40 percent of U.S. oil needs are met at home. Most of the imports currently come from five countries: Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Venezuela and Nigeria."
Cut out Saudi Arabi and we could pick up the slack for the remain countries and we could increase the shale oil production in the US.
So to hell with Saudi Arabi

The problem is if we stopped buying Saudi oil, but bought that capacity elsewhere, the Saudi's could just sell into that gap in supply that we would create elsewhere.

Saudi has the largest proven oil reserves in the world and it seems common sense to use their oil up first.

It's a shame you can't believe a word Trump says.

If he does become President, it will be expected of him to kneel and kiss the Saudi ring. Seems to be a requirement for previous Presidents in recent times. So I'd like to see what happens. I'm rootin for em.

We are in economic war where no prisoners are taken. Use up all of the Saudi oil and then kick them to the curb. Saving our oil will give us something to fall back on. A penny saved is a penny earned, Ben Franklin.

This is great. We should stop buying from the Saudis out of principle. We need to be energy independent, period, and stop funding our enemies. One thing is for sure, the elite vested PTB are going to be PISSED at this kind of talk.

why the fuck are we even buying oil from anyone when we are selling our oil to anyone who wants it.

The U.S. is poised to lift a 40-year ban on exporting oil.
Lawmakers are close to authorizing oil exports as part of a broader $1.1 trillion spending and tax bill working its way through Congress. Sources told CNN the compromise measure, which is needed to avert a government shutdown, includes a provision that would roll back the export restriction.

The oil export ban was signed into law in 1975, part of the reaction to an OPEC embargo that created a shortage of crude and slammed the American economy with skyrocketing prices.

That makes no sense at all. None whatsoever.

Sad to say, but most brain-dead Americans don't even realize that most of the 9/11 Terrorists were Saudis. It's been proven that wealthy prominent Saudis funded the 9/11 attack.

But hey they got oil, so no biggie. Who cares that they killed thousands of Americans. They got oil. That's all that matters. Man, we have become a pretty demented greedy nation.

Historically most of the oil from the Alaska Pipeline went to Japan and not the US. Japan paid a premium for Alaska oil which was cost effective for the US.
