The Right tried so hard to destroy Clinton. While they were impeaching him, his popularity was in the 70s and remains there.
They failed miserably.

Bush is popular because he's no longer President, clodhopping over the world with the worst foreign policies ever, and destroying the economy with his lax, sloppy regulation of markets.

His Presidency was a fiasco for the country, and two lost elections in a row after he finally left still hasn't seemed to teach conservatoons of this obvious fact.
