I cant make this stuff up.
The thugs in Charleston, SC have a history recently of "butt shootings", which is exactly what it sounds like, they shoot their rivals in the damn butt.
Why? As one street thug says, you get "less time" for the crime, AND, if you kill 'em, you never get the money they owe you.
THAT is the anwswer boys. HIGHER and STIFFER crimes for gun violence. These idiots wont shoot above the waist, but do "butt shootings" because the tough sentencing in this area for attempted murder and murder. Now, we need to make sentencing for ANY gun crime severe.
It'll take a generation or two...but eventually, the punishment for gun crime will be so severe people wont do it. We'll still have the suicidal whackos on killing sprees. Thats another issue to fix. But tough sentencing can fix the purely criminal gun violence a lot.
